Thank you for that master list! This is a great thread.

I didn't complete form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance but do plan to sign up online with USCIS for case status notification once I receive my NOA1. I'm wondering for those who received E-notification of their RFE, will that allow me to be notified by email if I am issued a RFE? Or was the G-1145 Form required for that?

If you have signed up online and checked that little button that your want e-mail notifications then yes you should get an e-mail from there you can also use the app and it will text you when there is an update (Search forum use search button for name of app).

hello everyone, last week i received the RFE for my 1-485, USCIS is requesting the medical exam AGAIN. he originally had it in DR in October of 2015 which is within the 1 year. I was told he did not have to do it again because its been less than a year, we filed the AOS in January. In order to avoid any further delays we paid again the fee to a certified surgeon USCIS referred me to. as of now we already received the EAD and now we received ANOTHER RFE for the AP, what can they possible want for the AP, i have sent every possible piece of evidence they can possible need.. this is so stressful.

Hello! First post here, but seeing as the forum and website have been so helpful I wanted to make a small contribution by ways of adding our details to any future RFE master list updates.

We received our RFE requesting a beneficiary's letter of intent to marry on 30th March 2016. This evidence was sent to CSC on 13th April 2016, and we are currently waiting for a response. I will update again when I know more.

Thanks to everyone for all the great help and advice contributed on here.

Hi everyone

I am writing because we received an RFE and felt the need to post in case it is helpful for someone else. We received an RFE on April 11, 2016 through email and text on April 18th, 2016 a week later got the hard copy and it was for "Circumstance of Meeting". I thought this might be what it was for because I misinterpreted the question I sent about how we met in person rather than how and when we met in general and started dating. So since I thought that might be what it was for I gathered all the information for that so I would be ready for when I got my hard copy to return immediately. I sent a detailed description of how and when we met and since we met on a dating site called OkCupid I also sent their Terms of Service and some other legal pages I felt might be useful and an email from the website customer service stating that they were not an International Marriage Broker for fear of getting another RFE if I didn't because I have seen a lot for that. Because I had already gathered my evidence I overnighted it back the same day. I hope this helps and will keep you all updated.

My RFE was BLUE

Please click the link below to see the new RFE Master List:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bzoWOXOCsvHICvLEZt540eG2CkqEFaPV8MY18Q6E0f0/edit?usp=sharing

I have compiled the data from the 125 page original RFE Master List Post and put it into a google sheets doc. Please keep a few things in mind when viewing this list.

1. It is easiest to view this new list from a PC but if you want to view it from your mobile phone please make sure to have the Google Docs app downloaded to your phone. It will open the link in a much more easily viewed version for your cell phone.

2. If you posted in the original thread and do not see your name on the list that is due to a few things: Timeline was not fully updated, information regarding what your RFE was for was not provided, or how you answered your RFE was not clearly provided.

3. Date Approved on the document corresponds to when members received their NOA2 after responding to their RFE.

Notes moving forward.

1. I will continue to update this list with new data as it comes but to be added to the list and to continue making it helpful please make sure your timeline is updated with all the dates, you post exactly what your RFE was for, and exactly what you did to respond to your RFE.

2. If you have a question about your RFE please continue to post them in this new thread but make sure to actually view the document before asking what you should send. I did try and make what was requested and what was sent in short and simple to not make the document to large, so if you do not understand what I put please PM me with the LINE of the document you are unclear about and I will give you a more detailed answer. (I kept the long answer on a side document only for me to view if needed) ex. Line 61 says "Left various questions blank on form I-129F" what did they leave blank? I would answer your PM with They forgot to check the questions NO for convicted of crime related to IMBRA.

General FAQ's From the Thread Answered from Completing the Document.

1. What does RFE mean?

Request For Evidence- This is when USCIS needs more information in order to approve your petition.

2. How long does it take to receive my RFE hard copy?

According the data it is usually 1 to 2 weeks. If it takes longer, contact USCIS and put in a service request to have a new one sent.

3. How long after I respond to my RFE will I get an approval?

According to the data it is usually 2 weeks to get an approval. There are plenty of outliers that are shorter and longer but the average is two weeks.

4. What documents do I need to provide translations for in English?

All legal documents such as birth certificates, divorce decrees, legal name change documents, and if able it helps to translate hotel receipts but these are not required.

I am sorry in advance as it might be a stupid question but I'm still going to ask it, does USCIS send every K1 visa holder an RFE for further proceedings or it's only in some cases?

Only if there is something lacking in your original application. That might be an incorrectly filled out form, or a piece of evidence that you've neglected to include for example. The guides on this site should help you avoid an RFE. Having received one ourselves my word of advice is, read the guides, read them again, then once more just to be sure! We missed providing the beneficiay's letter of intent to marry in our original application. That mistake added a few weeks on.
