I'm not sure I mean if it's blank it's pointless to send it maybe also put a letter explaining all that along with it. Also you can add all the pages of the passport because they require a birth certificate or all the pages of the passport, just to cover all your bases.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your insight :) unfortunately too late to change anything now as we've already submitted and gotten our NOA1, lol. Just trying to figure what the chances are of us getting an RFE before the NOA2 down the line! Here's hoping that they just let it slide!

Hi! I sent G-325 & Letter of Intent to my fiancee in Russia to sign and I'm not sure if it's OK to send back to me by e-mail. Nowhere I can find if they have to be original not a photocopy. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

We'll you didn't need to send them to him he could have printed them off his self if he had access to a computer and saved yourself money there but they do you need to have a wet signature meaning originals so they will have to be sent back not emailed. Good luck with everything.

I see someone else a page or two ago asked this question but didn't get an answer, and it applies to our just-submitted case as well.

If the petitioner's long form birth certificate only has one side, should we expect an RFE for both sides? We copied both sides incase there was some sort of watermark like what appeared on the front, but the back just came out as a blank sheet of paper, so we didn't include it because, well, it's blank? Lol. We thought it would be strange to have a blank sheet of paper behind the copy of the front - and didn't know how you'd explain that short of attaching a typed letter to the front explaining the blank page was a copy of the back?

Thanks in advance!

I know someone already got back to you, but I did do a bit of research and not all states place a watermark on the back of the birth certificate and I am sure USCIS has seen birth certificates from every state so they may be aware that there is no watermark on the back of yours.

I hope you do not get an RFE, but they do state exactly in the instructions to submit the front and back page of it. If you do get an RFE for this as others have suggested I would recommend that you submit all pages of your passport, but I will keep my fingers crossed that you don't!

It's the same for my fiancé, his BC only has one side. We did however copy both sides and wrote on the blank sheet that it was the copy of the back of the BC. It looked ridiculous but they asked for both, they can do whatever they want with it now. :D

Don't worry about wet signatures, they don't ask for that anymore. Scanned stuff and photo copies are just as good for the i-129f.

Lol! Makes sense but still ridiculous. I'd like to think they would have some sort of list or resource of, "BCs from x state have only one side" and not expect a random blank sheet of paper, but oh well. If we get an RFE at least it'll be a quick fix and only delay us (hopefully) by a few weeks :)

M&E,

It depends on what your RFE is for if both of you need to sign things. If the RFE is for an unanswered question on the I-129F itself it only needs to be signed by the petitioner since the document only needs their signature.

If you are missing letters of intent then you will both need to sign your individual letter of intent to marry and both signatures will not be required on each letter, only the one that is making the statement.

In essence only one signature is required when documents are sent back it is the signature of the person making the statement or the person that the G-325A is for.

Hope this helps!

So...I've never been so happy to receive a notification that something is wrong! I received an e-mail and a text today saying that we will be receiving an RFE for our case. This means that (a) they've looked at the petition and (b) they didn't throw it out on the first review. :) I'll post an update here when I know exactly what the RFE is for, but I suspect it's because we didn't include a statement of intent from the beneficiary. Of course, it could be anything...

As y'all know, this is a long and stressful process. Reading your stories (the good, the bad, and the ugly) really serves as a reminder that none of us are in this alone. Thanks for posting!

Ok RFE update from us! They have asked that my other (American petitioner) to send in evidence that he is American...Yes in the book we did put an ORIGINAL birth certificate.... has this happened to anyone else or anyone get anything similar? We are so shocked that it could even be this.. We don't really understand.

They ask us to send a photo copy of the birth certificate or his passport.. we can do this no problem however we aren't sure what exactly they want if the original birth certificate has been submitted already.

We have noticed we missed a whole section about me ever visiting the US and a postal code in the i-129f, granted their was enough evidence in the book that I have visited but we had missed it on the form and nothing was even mentioned about that!?

Thanks for answers/help!

Was his birth certificate the long form version? It must have the full name of both parents to be considered the long form of the birth certificate. That could have been the issue.

Also, you must send in the front and back of the birth certificate so if that was missed that could also be the problem.

If you do plan to use their passport instead, make sure you send copies of ALL pages to rectify the RFE. They want the whole thing and not just the bio page. People have received RFE in the past for not send all pages.

If all the above was already done, it is possible that this part of the packet was lost in transit. That is just speculation though.

Hope this helps!

Hello everyone! two quick questions, our RFE is to send a copy of a passport, we will send every page but is it worth signing every page?

Second question, we didn't receive an RFE for this part but we noticed when reviewing the copied package that we missed some stuff out on the i-129f, I have read on a forum that they will review the whole packet again. Can anyone tell us if we need to add this on the RFE or this will cause us further problems?
