That's what they keep telling me. My scan date is March 26 and nothing yet :(

I'm April 2nd so I'm a little bit after you but I don't expect it to be true really . I wish more people were EP on here so we could have an idea where they are at .

Can somebody answer me if is it ok that my husband is "head of the household" on his IRS? Would that hurt on our processing at NVC? Thank you.

Answer is : Yes he can and no it won't hurt your immigration process.

From the IRS website:

If you are a U.S. citizen married to a nonresident alien you may qualify to use the head of household tax rates. You are considered unmarried for head of household purposes if your spouse was a nonresident alien at any time during the year and you do not choose to treat your nonresident spouse as a resident alien. However, your spouse is not a qualifying person for head of household purposes. You must have another qualifying person and meet the other tests to be eligible to file as a head of household.

I know you're asking Saylin, but if you look at what I have copied from the instructions and the 1040 form you will see what I am telling you is correct.

*Instructions for the I-864EZ

For purposes of this affidavit, the line for gross (total) income on IRS Forms 1040 and 1040A will be considered when determining income. For persons filing IRS Form 1040EZ, the line for adjusted gross income will be considered.

IRS 1040 Form:

22 Combine the amounts in the far right column for lines 7 through 21. This is your total income

***************************************************

If you filed a 1040 form you use the total income not adjusted income. Therefore the answer is Line 22 = Total Income

Thank you very much! Totally convinced now :) Hugs! (F)

I had one of my friends translate the papers because I felt funny sending in papers I translated and saying I was competent to translate haha. But yes, you can translate them and attach a statement saying everything is true and accurate. And no they don't need to be notarized. I just got a case complete without problems with my translations.

Thank you for this information! I guess translation + statement will be good enough, then.
