My case is at the Nebraska Centre too. How do they decide which petition goes where?? Why couldn't mine go to the California Service Centre when that is where my husband lives and hopefully before two years go by, I will be living there too.

I agree with another poster, why is one service center always so "backed up' and the other one doing fine, and meeting projected times. My gosh, it would seem just shift some of the work load, add a few more states or districts to CSC, and lighten the work load on TSC and ""just SEE" if they could get caught up.

Someone needs to intervene, because TSC is just getting worse and worse! And a few months ago, thousands of cases was sent to other offices, to help catch them up, and I saw little effect, except the ones that were transferred, were approved in a few weeks and months.

What IS the real story of the vast difference in these Service Centers?????????????

As I guess background to to this as well, it's probably worth mentioning the large numbers of people here who get RFE's for forms and details they have sent in previously. We actually waited until we had this particular form before originally submitting the package, so getting an RFE for it was especially cheeky!

I would suspect if I was a journalist, that the RFEs sent back have a bearing on some sort of statistic they are judged on by the Govt or internally, otherwise why do they consistently do this?

Who loves me? Ok so last Feb. 8, 2014 the New York Times wrote the article:

HAPPY to say, they are interested. (She is the National Immigration Correspondant)

Would be nice if they can do a story that reflects how they put people in AP for months and years without giving them a reason, no information at all. How they are above the law and discriminate against certain people. They should NOT be above the law and there should be a way to stop them from discrimination of all kinds.

My wait time has been ridiculous and God willing wont be put in AP, without it it's going to be two years very soon since I filed our I-130!

On the subject of transfer from TSC to CSC. I have been studying some of Igor's data as it pertains to K-1's with Vietnam beneficiaries. I have seen a couple of instances where they have transferred people from East of the Rockies to California. It seems that about once a month they pick a few to move (around the 10th of each month). For instance one person in Ohio was involved in the shift and was able to go from I-129F to interview in less than 100 days. I hope this trend continues and let everyone get some luck in this process!

I think in the following case it's discriminatory against everyone else but the, at least it's how I see it. Two I-130 cases from Japan one made it through USCIS in 17 days yes 17 days with no expedite and the other in 22 days no expedite, at the NVC stage they complained about the waiting time specially the one that took 17 days who had her case expedited both pretty much were finished in less then 2 and 4 months respectively both with Visa in hand. Don't tell me that's Embassy specific!

Guys, bear in mind that a lot of people mis-fill their timelines. Often they think they were transferred from TSC to CSC, since they believe filing at the Dallas lockbox is equivalent to TSC. This not the case! They were always genuine CSC petitions based on the state where the petitioner lives, no matter what people might write on Igors list!

I have just mailed my story too - pretty bog standard I am sure, but every little helps.

Does anyone know if from a legal standpoint, if we have to have explicit permission to post your stories on a public forum (our Tumblr acct), or do I have to get individual permission from everyone who's emailed so far? I want to put them up tonight. I've really enjoyed reading them in a cathartic way. It's so hard to find anyone who sympathizes in the real worLd. No one gets it like you guys.

There was a time not long ago when Americans living abroad and petitioning their relatives would get processed through their US embassy. Now they have to send their stuff to USCIS and NVC. Perhaps it would relieve some of the workload if it went back to the US embassies?
