You should able to pay your AOS fees within 1 or two days.

Thanks, you're the man! And I just noticed it says "Start Application" for the DS-261, so I should go ahead and have that filled out right now. Once I submit it how long does it take to show in CEAC that it's been filled?

You can go and finish DS-261 as soon as possible. It won't take long to show as filled. Sometimes you can see on same day when you submit DS-261.

Also, your AOS invoice will be available soon.

Hi i have question. My I-130 was approved 1st April and I just got case # and IIN number from NVC over the phone. They told me I have a lawyer on file with them and I can't submit DS 261. I have fired my lawyer and I told them he is not associated with my case anymore. He did remove his contact but he asked me to send him email as well notifying that I am the choice of agent which I already did.

He said I should just wait for invoice email and than I have to pay the fee. I am still a little confused. So I don't have to submit DS 261? How come? I checked the website and DS 261 is not available yet anyways.

I am also a little concered because they other emails I send to nvc (to enroll case) they took weeks to reply. Please help, I don't want to loose any extra time. My Priority date is 25 Feb 2013, I have already waited a long time. Thanks.

Hi all,

So I just called the NVC and asked if my AOS and IV Packages were scanned into the system and the gentleman said that they don't get scanned, but were received on May 14th, even though UPS said that they were delivered on the 12th. Does this mean they've been handed off to a reviewer and now I have to wait 2 weeks from the 14th to hopefully have them reviewed?? Anyone? :)

I called last night and received the same statement. I tracked our package and it showed that it was delivered on the 12th but they did not scan it in until the 15th. So in your case, you would count two weeks after the 14th because that was when it was entered into their system :)

OK GUYS...I NEED HELP..LOTS OF HELP WITH MY AOS..PLEASE BE KIND AND ADVISE ME SO I CAN GET THROUGH THIS 9 PAGED FORM

So, I am the petioner, when I submitted I130 I was in student status, and all I had was 1098T , so since I didn't have any income last year, I didn't file tax...although I do have my tax receipts of prior years. Currently, I have a job and it's been 2 months since I've been employed. I am planning on having my dad as a joint petioner, and show his tax papers for the last 3 years and mine from last 2 years, copy of 1098T from school which shows that I didn't work but went to school and a letter from my current workplace stating my annual salary and proof of employment.

I'm filling out I864 and I'm stuck in many parts even though I'm using the instructions sheet, it seems to be very confusing to me. so please help me...I'd appreciate it a lot.

Part 1. Basis for filing affidavit of support

- Do I leave it blank? or am I suppose to write a name? if yes, who's petitioner's or beneficiary

Part 2. Mailing Address

- I believe it's beneficiary's mailing address, which I tried to type dashes as it appears in the actual address, but it the adobe does not allow me to type dashes or commas, and state, zip code, province etc. does not apply, and it doesn't let me type N/A either.

please suggest with these things for now...i'll have more questions as I'm filling out this form

thanks

You don't have to submit DS261. You can send a email to NVC to change attorney or agent and in the meanwhile you can pay the invoices and do the normal process. I think you should have already the invoices in the system.

Thanks for heads up, I checked and I was able to login to the payment system and I can see my name (petitoner) but there is no active invoice. It says due is $0.00

So I guess I have to check this daily and pay when it becomes available?

I did send out an email to nvc regarding choce of agent, I don't know if I need to use any particular magic words and magic subject line? Thanks!

No. Change the agent is ok! you have to send new agent information, case number, beneficiary name and BOD and petitioner name and BOD. Probably both invoices will be issued at the same time.

I'm starting to get worried about my EP enroll email. I sent it on April 18 and I still have not received a confirmation. Today is May 19. They say it takes 30 days for email to be read. Is that 30 business days or 30 regular days? Do you think I should call and get a supervisor to check on it? I'm scared they will tell me no and that I have to wait longer.

Problem is when I sent it I wrote that my surname was the same as my husband's but in their records it is still my maiden name. Does that mean I have to send my ENROLL email again with my maiden name instead? I should probably just call NVC and ask. I may have just cost myself 30 days :(

Don't worry about the surname. I sent the petition in my married name but communication has come from NVC in maiden name. It won't affect anything. But if you want to, (and I did) send an email to NVCinquiry and attach your supporting id (like a passport) in your new name, asking them to correct your name on file.

Quick Question!!!

I have paid my AOS invoice since 5/7 but i'm still not being invoived the IV fee yet. Is it normal for all the time it is taking between the 2 invoices?

Thanks

It's infuriating, isn't it? I paid AOS on the 8th or 9th and the waiting is making me crazy! Please, US government, let me give you money!

How long from this message:

"This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately."

Can I expect to be able to have my AOS or anything for that matter invoiced. It's been almost a week :/

I saw that message for a couple of days before I could pay AOS fee.

Is your timeline updated?

Okay sounds good, is it normal that my DS-261 became available before both AOS and IV were invoiced. Most people seem to complete it after the AOS and IV are sent?
