Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC!

Before posting questions, please read the wiki I wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!

For up to date time frames, you can view my spreadsheet here. If you would like to be added (or have your entry updated), then please fill out the form here (please read the instructions at the top carefully, especially the update part as people aren't filling the form out correctly [they're filling out information not needed]). And before submitting the form, please make sure the consulate on your timeline isn't the default Armenia. I will NOT add/update you if it is.

If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view my flowchart here.

I will be much less active in reading (and thus answering) posts in these monthly threads, so don't bother asking me questions directly. Just post them here for everyone to see and someone will come along to answer. Remember to be patient

And if for whatever reason, you can't find the answer, try searching both on this website and on Google. It's amazing what you can find if you search

If you're wondering about time frames, I've got a spreadsheet available for a reason And if you're trying to look at a time tick not on it (such as bills being invoiced), look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Woo hoo! New thread! Just reading and posting while I wait on hold to see if we happenned to get a case #. Probably not until next week, but hopeful anyway!

Bee dee bee daaaaaah... da da da daaaah... singing along with the "song that never ends" hold music....

And.... nope, no case number... will try again next week...

But at least the weather here in Vancouver BC is warm and sunny - feels good for a change. Although now I have to spend the rest of the day in my car and the a/c isn't working. Oh well, I'll take the sun, even though it makes the car hot.

I wish this was done, they took awhile to get my case I want case number and for all this to go fast I am so stressed out I had enough. yes I read post I just hate posting I need to vent ~ wishing the best for everyone~

Hi everyone! NVC received my case yesterday. Obviously, we'll have to wait some time to get the case number. I've found Saylin's wiki incredibly helpful and frankly couldn't imagine going through this process, particularly NVC, without Visa Journey. I'm also still waiting for the NOA2 hard copy to get to my parents' house--hoping this will have my husband's alien registration number on it, because we never got one...

I have a question-- Are the NVC monthly threads not like the I-130 monthly threads? For example, I was an I-130 April 2014 filer and hung out there, still hang out there, never posted in any other I-130 month and don't plan to because I understood the monthly threads to be the place where all the people who filed that month could discuss their progress together.

But it seems like the NVC monthly threads are meant for everyone, no matter when their case got to NVC, to come hang out and share information. When a new month begins, does everyone just hop over to the new thread? Just want to make sure I've got it right.
