You would answer NO to that particular question. And answer yes to this question: "Have you ever been refused a U.S. visa, been refused admission to the U.S., or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry?" and in the box where it asks for explanation write that you were denied entry and ESTA was cancelled.

You didn't violate the terms of your visa, the officer assumed that you were not going back to your country, that is not on you.

Today I called Nvc and I got my case completed!!! They told me my case was completed April 26(saturday)

You received your Case Number 2 days after me and have a Case Complete. That's great. Was your case expedited? I'm still waiting...

Hi everyone, I read all the posts here( all 354 pages) . I learned a lot from all of you, laughed at the great jokes and keep quiet for now. I have a question for people going to the interview in Montreal. How long it takes to receive the Visa after interview, does the Consulate sends the documents or can we go to the consulate to pick it up? Thanks everyone and congrats to all who got their CASE COMPLETE!

I graduated with my MSW this past Saturday and on my way to my graduation I was crying because when I applied for my husband my wish was that he will be here for my graduation.

DOES THAT MEAN THAT AOS IS ACCEPTED??????

AS ITS FALSE CHECKLIST, CAN I ASSUME A 'CASE COMPLETE' IN A COUPLE OF DAYS AND THEN A JUNE INTERVIEW?????

I just paid the AOS fee after waiting 3 days into DS-261 submission and am waiting for it show as Paid in the CEAC.

I got my case number over the phone on 24th and still no updated in my status online. I called today and was told my case number changed from NWD to BMB (new delhi to bombay).. Does anyone know how long it will take for the case number to show up online?

So last night we received a checklist from the NVC that states that my birth certificate was not a an original one or a certified copy but we submitted a certified copy of my birth certificate. Could this be a false checklist?

so nvc basically is asking you to write N/A in AOS form even though they say that it should be left blank

I think at this point everyone should just ignore instructions and do this. so many people get checklist for this that it's ridiculous

Just relax all will be well, take a deep breath and they will be answering the phone in a couple of hours. Please let us know what happened, I'll be praying all goes well. (F)
