Nope, not normal for any age...but QUITE common for the elderly. My dad was on heavy doses of Prednisone...a wonderful but also evil medication that can make you feel like you're losing your mind. If I didn't know that he was on the medication, I would have thought my dad was a big mean guy...but having been on the medication myself, I know what it can do to you.

I hope the whole family gets the help they need because they definitely need it. Especially the young sister who is at a tough age and needs stability and love.

sorry did not read the OP but I have to say that before I even opened it,I was certain it was Philippines......when too many weird stories start coming up with regards to women from there and men from here,it starts to look fishy with almost every story that has to do with a Filipino and I will say that I am not assuming you to be in that category but wow!!!! why so many weird stories

Another judgemental post which happens to be from NIGERIA..Ironic.

The not so "weird stories" from countries like Philippines are living a very good life here in the US and can't be found on this forum.

Entertaining topic. He probably hasn't moved out yet because it's convenient and much cheaper to live under somebodys roof. Otherwise he probably had to get real job and couldn't afford cell phone.OP - if you wannts to prove you're a man, move out now. Otherwise shut up and quit complaining about a "hit" in the arm because you have no driving skills at the age of 23....

He said his mother sponsored him btw.

Leave the next, move on, problem solved.

same stuff happens with stories from Nigeria so I am not trying to be holier than thou here......that also does not mean that there are no true bona fide stories that relate to immigration issues...I was just stating what I feel is a worrying trend for you get a weird story on a daily basis when u log on to VJ from Philippines,is that false? it is not and i would think its best Americans try to understand that culture before getting married to people from there likewise a lot of Filipino women should try and understand the American culture before getting married to American men and no where did I state that it was the fault of either party for there have been different stories with blame going to both sides of the party

My guess is the Mother was desperate to get out of her situation in the PI for the benefit of herself and her children.

The children did not take too long to acquire some of the nastier American entitlement culture.

I wouldnt go as far as talking about the entitlement attitude but you could be right in that aspect but my main issue is its getting too comon with marriages getting dissolved because of people not understanding whole heartedly the people they are getting married to and it goes both ways.......like i said,I am not accusing the OP of anything at all cos Iam not involved in the issue and will be wrong toassume what I know not of but its not new anymore to log on and read...my wife abandons me or my husband is being a D%^k head and treating me like sh*t or to read about children from both sides complaining about the LPR or USC

Could quite have been her best practical option, not everybody has good options to choose from, more likely it would be the least worst or possibly only.
