Hello.

I'm Joseph and i was lucky to met a wonderful girl from Philippines, we are talking about marrying already so i decided to start looking on the process, we have not seen each other yet but I already bought my ticket for this April to go and see her. I'm a US Citizen since May 2012 never been arrested other than driving while driver license suspended back in 2006, no other records or crimes on file.

so my question is that when filling the F-129 i found this parts a little bit tricky.

1st : Part 2, point 2a,b,c Her name is Mxxxxxxx Mxxxxxxxx P Rxxxxxxxx, she told me P is the initial for her middle name which is Pxxxxx even though Pxxxxx is her mother last name so i have it like this on the form

2a Family name : Rxxxxxx

2b Given name : Mxxxxxxx Mxxxxxxx

2c Middle name : Pxxxxx

is it good like this or should i put both last names together then (the second) Mxxxxxx as middle name?

2nd : Part 4 City/Town/Vilage of Birth. she was born on Xxxxx, San Andres, Catanduanes, Philippines. I believe Xxxxxx is like the town and San Andres is like the county and Catanduanes like the province, so how should i fill this part?

3rd : Part 34a Describe how you met. So im guessing here ill put online first then i visit her and we met in person. am i right?

so far those are all my questions, Im sorry if someone has already ask something like this before and thank you for your help.

Ps as you may have notice my grammar is bad, sorry as english is not my first language.

1. I have two first names too -- I put both in the Given Name field. put Pxxxxx in the Middle name field.

2. I would say just San Andres, Catanduanes should be fine. Or even Catanduanes only.

3. I'm not so sure about 34a. You have to prove that you've met at least once in the past two years by showing evidence like plane tickets, hotel reservations, etc. You might be better off meeting her in April first, THEN filing the 129F.

Glad to hear you're already looking at the process but you're almost a bit too proactive at this point.

The biggest thing at this point is to make sure you save any evidence, take some pictures and generally enjoy your first face-to-face meeting, especially if you are planning on filing soon. Also be aware that not every person you meet is genuine. Not doubting that you might not have found a wonderful person but let me just say that there are a lot of people that are just looking for a USC for other purposes. Often times long distance relationships lead to marriage much faster but.. talking about marriage before even having met someone is a something to be careful of. Heck I've had taxi drivers try to introduce me to their daughter and a couple of odd matchmaking attempts while at malls when I was working there. This is by no means typical of Filipino culture but it does happen.

34a sounds about as simple as "started chatting on facebook" or "introduced by mutual friends" or "met via online matchmaking website" or whatever it was in your case. I believe the "when did you last see your fiancee" is covered somewhere else.

A bit of random advice too, you might also not want to mention the person's exact name in a post. This is the internet man!

You can't file yet as you do not yet meet the requirement of having met in person in the 2 year period prior to filling.

Go visit her in April, enjoy your time together, make sure she's really and truly ion love with you and marriage really is what you want to pursue. Have her sign all the forms and paperwork she needs to sign, get her photos, etc, then come back and file.

In the Philippines the mother's maiden name is always the middle name of the child (yes all the kids have the same middle name), if there is not a space for middle name then that name would be included with her GIVEN name, not family/surname. Ask your fiancee how her name is listed on her BC

City/town of birth; what city/town does your fiancee tell you? Have her look on her BC.

How did you meet, they want to know about your meeting in person. Meeting in person within (before filing) the past two years is a requirement for filing.
