I assume eieio means attention seekers or people seeking to further or launch their entertainment careers.

Exactly. I thought I had answered yesterday. I must not have hit the Post right

Edit to add that it appears I need to hit the Post "button" twice.

It would seem logical that the series follow the couples from the first season. Or maybe that could get too reality-ish.

They might, but they would have continued to film after the 90 days. It only stands to reason that the first year of a couple would be the most difficult and it would also be when misunderstandings happen more frequently. Without drama....reality shows just have no appeal (or much less). Who is to blame......all of us :secret:

MTVs Real World is one of the longest running and most successful reality show. They bring in new housemates every season. Of coarse they search far and wide for the type of personalities that are most likely to produce "video worthy footage"

This was my response when TLC contacted me about Season 2:

Thanks but no thanks.

My fiancé and I are both highly educated, successful professionals and we would never consider participating in such an invasive program that trivializes the nature of our relationship or the relationship of others merely due to locale for the sole promise of our 15 min of fame.

To be honest, I find TLC's 90 Day Fiancé to be on par with many other reality tv shows (admittedly not the worst offender) where participants are either chosen for their sketchy nature or scripted to be so in order to elicit drama for the purpose of ratings. Frankly, I really expected more out of TLC and am incredibly disappointed with this and several other series that I would consider "trash" tv.
