Comments : You will notice an extreme gap. We were inactive during this time because of a hold up with the Indian PCC for about 6 months.

Also, we did have an original interview date of November 20th. However, due to some stolen papers, we had to reschedule to the date shown above.

Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : JFK
POE Date : 2014-03-31
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 5
Comments : Husband got to JFK airport and went to the customs line. He said that overall there was disorganization but low harassment and things eventually got done.

There was no sign that said "immigrants here" so he got in the wrong line but through observation, found out where he needed to be. He put his do not envelope on a desk and waited for the POE officer. He waited for about half an hour. The officer arrived. Hubby said the officer must have been new because he kept looking around and asking his co-workers (clarification) questions. Hubby said that the officer didn't really look at the papers. He said, okay, you are free to go.

Hubby missed his connecting flight.

Event Description
Review Date : December 24, 2013
Embassy Review : This is all second-hand information which I am trying to remember a few days after the fact, but, I believe everything is accurate.

He had his appointment for 8:00am on December 19, 2013. About 15 minutes beforehand, outside the embassy, the officers divided the lines into immigrant and non immigrant. DH said that everything was very orderly and polite in the cueing up. There also weren't that many people in the embassy that day.... possibly around 100.

Anyway, he was second in line. I believe he said that when he entered, and went to the first window and they gave him back all the original papers we submitted to NVC/USCIS. And I also believe they scanned his fingerprints. That officer he said may have been Chinese.

Went to the second window. The lady, who may have been from Eastern Europe and was very nice asked him only 3 or 4 questions. He also volunteered information. When/how did you meet? Where did you marry? Is she working? And, why isn't she working?

She told him that he was approved but, he didn't listen to the rest because he was so happy/excited, so, I guess he missed some information. She handed him a paper on immigrant rights and something else.

He said that the interview itself took about 10 minutes and his total time inside the embassy was 30 minutes.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
