@Ning sure! I will give you my Paypal email, Just wire transfer over to me $3,000 and it's done! Oh well, sorry, we have to wait because my husband has family in the US and I have family in Italy. So you want one of us to be denied re-entry for what you call Nirvana? Ignorance is bliss, man.

It must be sheer bliss to be you because you have displayed that pure ignorance in most everything you have done which is exactly why you are in the position you find yourself in while placing the blame on others.

I want you to be denied re-entry? Where did you get that idea. I simply suggested you move to Italy.

I'm surprised anyone actually bothered to answer this post considering the attitude that was displayed from the very start .... JMO

Welcome to immigration. It doesn't ever go as you plan, or on your time.

The process should have been researched and planned for accordingly before you do it, including planning for things taking longer than you'd like.

Making up things like "undue hardship" may sound pretty and right to you, but it doesn't make it the case.

Why would a person waste money on lawyers fees? Why would someone on a 1-year OPT spend so much that they cannot live without their temporary income? You are supposed to leave afterward, so your partner becoming reliant on your income was foolish. As an F-1 you also must show that you can pay international tuition for years.

OP out of curiosity how old are you? I refuse to believe that anyone over the age of 15 actually say these things out loud or even think these things. Everything is a process sweetie, leave uncle sam out of it. You are to blame for your situation not uncle sam. Plus it takes at least 3 months of your EAD. I was origionally coming in here to tell you to twerk while you wait for your EAD but thne I actually read your comments. Just what this country needs another entitled brat

@QueenE Yes

I am entitled to love my spouse

I am entitled to see his family

I am entitled to take my husband to Italy whenever we want to see my family

I am entitled to a job so we can live!

If you think these unalienable human rights are something to be denied to any person living in this world, we seriously will never be friends.

There is a process. Lots and lots of people are applying for some sort of immigration benefit. There is not enough money or justification to have one employee per 10 or even 100 applications per year. Therefore you must wait your turn in line like everyone before you and everyone after you. Just like when you go to Walmart or McDonalds or anywhere else. You have to wait your turn.

There is no right for you to obtain a green card. There is no right for your SO to be able to travel to Italy. There is no right for you to live in financial lifestyle of your choice. There is no right for you to have a job. These are all things you obtain in various ways and not just receive them because you feel like you deserve them.

It sounds like poor budgeting and planning on your part has caused your problem. Uncle Sam didn't put you in debt, you did. Uncle Sam didn't run up your bills, you did. Not Uncle Sam's problem, it's your problem.

Rather than complaining because you have to wait your turn like everyone else why don't you make an Infopass and try to get an expediated EAD?

Well then, fight on.

Understand that the majority of people here, including me, will show you no support. It is your right to do whatever you want.

I do not have an issue with the United States Government. I have an issue with both the US government, the Italian government and the European government. All these governments implicitly discourage relationships between citizens of different countries by making it difficult to live together. It is just wrong.

I am entitled to take my husband to Italy whenever we want to see my family

Fixed that for you for the sake of accuracy.

The processes are there for a sense of order and fairness to all. You trying to buck the process and then complaining about it is silly at best.

The government isn't standing in your way. It's expecting you to follow the same processes as everyone else. Having a sob story doesn't mean you don't follow the rules. 95% of this forum has a similar story.

You've made it hard on yourself through poor planning. You can be as indignant to everyone and everything as much as you want, but it's not going to make a lick of difference to your situation.

Well, I'll end this discussion like this. We are going to suck it up, and meanwhile we will dream of the day when we will be a free couple and finally enjoy our life. We waited this long, we can wait another couple of months.
