Hi,

You are not alone i an also on Ap.its three months now. I must say its much difficult to wait for 16 months.I can understand you must be very upset. Call DOS(department of states visa information) and ask what's going on in your case i am also going to call DOS to check what is happening in my case.

I think the problem is that intelligence in Pakistan is so, so poor. Name and background checks take forever. The Pakistani government is increasingly hostile toward American intervention. I've heard that Pakistan takes forever in AP because of terrorism.

All you can do is wait and hope for the best.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I can't imagine having to go through that, it would destroy me. Times like these make me feel very lucky I'm from England, am not from a MENA country, not of ethnic descent and going through one of the "easiest" embassies. :/

Whatever. Someone needs to pull something out of their #######. I never said they weren't people and I think the rest of my post suggests I don't think of anyone as sub-human. It is well known that the majority of people who aren't caucasian at the London embassy get placed into AP regardless. So, do your research or shut it. Don't get on your high horse and take the moral high ground with me, sweet heart.

Exactly. I'm sorry if my response to Em-Luc's comment offended anyone, but not for my original comment. I've seen numerous examples, numerous members and examples of minorities being placed into AP even if they are British citizens. She construed it completely the wrong way and went off on her high horse, and I have no patience for people who exercise the right to be offended for the sake of being offended.

NVC Received : some dinkelsberry yehoo in the house of clingons send our petition to the wrong consulate.

Consulate Received : July 30,2014 Transfer to right embassy complete.

Interview Date : Oct 22, 2014

Interview Result : AP , requesting another PC (not expired) and certified divorce decree (was submitted)Stokes interview via phone for petitioner 4 hrs after interview.

Oct 23 email notification visa approved.
Visa Received : Nov. 3 , 2014 VISA IN HAND.

US Entry : Nov. 21, 2014

Marriage : Dec 27, 2014

AOS send : May 12, 2015, received May 14, 2015 USPS priority

Email &text : May 18, 2015, check cashed May 19,2015, return receipt May 21, 2015 stamped USCIS Lockbox, NOA1 (3x) May 22,2015

Biometrics : June 1, 2015 letter received for appointment June 8, 2015, successful walk-in June 1, 2015

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.
