As I'm sure you all can attest, waiting is the hardest part.

We mailed my husband's Adjustment Of Status packet (I-485, I-765, and I-131) at the beginning of February and it was signed for Monday, February 4. Since then, however, we haven't received any notification. It's been almost a month. Should we have gotten a receipt number by now? How long should we wait? And when and who should we contact?

Did you mail it to the correct location? It needs to go to the Chicago Lockbox, but your profile indicates that you filed at the Lewisville Lockbox.

Yes, check you sent it to the right place because we filed two weeks ago and I already got NOA1 (x3) and the Biometrics appointment letter (got it today).

2015: ROC w/Divorce waiver

8/14/2015 - (Day 00) - Mailed ROC package to CSC - [uSPS: Priority w/delivery confirmation]
8/17/2015 - (Day 03) - Package Delivered
8/19/2015 - (Day 05) - Check cashed

9/15/2015 - Biometrics app. done

2/18/2016 - APPROVED w/o an interview!

Hello. My husband and I sent my AOS package on February 2, 2012. We received a confirmation text from USCIS on the 12th of February and two days later, I got my biometrics notice in our mailbox. I think you should call the Department of Homeland Security and inquire about the status of your application. Try calling this number. 1-800-375-5283. That's the number written on my NOA1. :)

Did you send in the G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance along with your application? I sent my application in on February 19th and received an email on February 27th saying they received it. The receipt number was in the email.

So, what then, is the typical wait time to receive notice via email or text (G-1145) once the package is signed for?

I sent mine in on the 21st of feb, it was picked up and signed for on the 24th and I am wondering how long it will take for them to open my package and see the G-1145? Can I expect to wait 1-2 weeks for that notification?

I filled out G1145 ( actually filled out one for each seperate application) but never received any text or email notification. Got the hard copy in the mail about 3 weeks later. Even though i never received an e-mail or text for NOA1 - I did eventually get notification when EAD/AP was approved.....

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I didn't have a chance to call on Friday and on Saturday the office they wanted to transfer me to wasn't open. So today after being on hold for half an hour, I spoke briefly to a man that said applications are processed in the order they're received, there's currently a backlog, and I should wait another 10 to 15 days. We're going to be a month and a half behind before we even find out if they have the application. Now I just want to go back to bed in frustration.

Seeing that I sent my package after the OP, I just wanted to give the OP a response of my current status.

This morning I received my notification via G-1145. They signed for the package on the 24th of February and today is March 5th, for a total waiting time of 9-10 days. I send my package to the Chicago lockbox address. Since you have already contacted them and they suggested waiting 10-15 days, I would wait that period of time but after 10 days I would keep calling them until they can help. Hang in there, I'm sure they will notify you when they open your package. Even though they told you they open them in 'order' they are usually in a big mail bag and can be shuffled around. Keeping my fingers crossed for your notification to come soon!!!

Follow the money - Have they cashed your check?

If so, they have it, and you will just have to wait through the already-mentionaed backlog.
