Just wanted to find out from anyone who has filed AOS after married fiancee on K1-VISA. We married on July 8, 2012. I filed AOS with EAD and USCIA cleared my check on August 24, 2012. Two months later she received her EAD, but still no green card to this date. Is there really a way to check other than logging on with your account to USCIS. Thanks.

Did she ever receive a biometrics appointment? You need to do this first. Then an interview before a GC is issued. Going on to 5 months is a bit long. I would check ( call) and find out what is going on.

They must have gotten the bio interview since he got the EAD.

we filed a couple weeks after you and we are in the same boat. Received EAD in Nov. but haven't received an interview letter or an approval. Case status still says acceptance.

RickJovi, since you are AOS'ing from a K1 you may not even have an interview and they will just mail you the green card if that is the case. If you look at my timeline we never had an interview for Pui's AOS. Did you send in an G-1145 when you sent in the AOS paperwork? We received an email and text that the green card was approved and being mailed. Good luck.

AOS Journey

11-04-2011 sent AOS to Chicago lockbox

11-07-2011 delivered

11-08-2011 Date on text messages but did not receive until 11-22-2011

11-23-2011 Check cashed.

11-25-2011 Hard copies of NOA1s

12-06-2012 Pui's Brother unexpectly passes away and we make an info pass appointment and receive an emergancy AP so she can return home. Pui leaves for Thailand for 2 weeks.

12-06-2012 Get a text message and email that she received an RFE

12-12-2012 RFE for original birth certificate. I swear we sent it along with a certificate translation of it.

12-20-2012 Pui returns from Thailand.

12-21-2012 We send the RFE back for with original birth certificate along with a new certificate of translation(I had to wait for her to return for her to sign)

12-26-2012 text and email they have received the RFE.

12-29-2012 Appointment for biometrics is 01-23-2012

01-13-2012 AP is approved.

01-23-2012 Biometrics appointment. Later during the evening the text and email saying the EAD is approved.

01-31-2012 EAD/AP combo card arrives.

05-22-2012 Email and text card is in production!

Same story here...I filed for my AoS on July 19, 2012, got my NoA 1 on August 3rd. My case wasn't transfered to California, and an USCIS worker told me that all the cases with NOA1 from August will be process by the National Benefit center for a faster processing time.

It's been 6 month and nothing...I called the USCIS and they told me that I've to wait cause things are slow right now... :bonk: but its really really frustraiting to see people who filed on sept and oct with their gc already.

Im hoping that I can be one of the luckiest group of filer who got their GC without interview

There are lots of folks that meet your criteria. Check our timeline for but one example.

Maybe you could try calling or make an InfoPass appointment.

Good luck.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
