Okay so I see for the AOS both the employment letter and the pay stubs are optional -- if I've been employed by my current employer for 9 months now, do you think one paystub from every month would suffice? Or maybe just the most recent 6 pay stubs? Or I mean... how many pay stubs are normal to send? And if I send stubs should I send a letter from my employer, too? I don't have a co-sponsor/don't need one.

If your pay stubs are Year to date just the most current to show what u make how much you made so far. And a letter of employment yes is optional. The pay stub is your proof of employment.

I fell asleep and woke up with the keyboard keys indented in my face. I think page 60. So the mystery will just have to stay there.

This will help your stress go to different forums subscribe to what grabs your fancy and help people with their questions. I tell you it helps get the anxiety off and focus on someone else. And you can reflect back when you were first filing or at some stage and you were clueless (I'm only guessing you were clueless, you might have had all this figured out). But go post 10 post. And saying congratulations don't count. Now go go. :D

So when you run out of room on the DS-230 with one of the lines(example, all educational institutions), do you fill in some of the fields and then use one field with the note saying: "see attachment".

OR, do you simply say "see attachment" with the rest of the fields blank?

Looks like the start of month number four for us since NOA2. Praying this will be our last without an interview date. Preparing for the move might make the wait go by quickly, but the best part of this month is that I'll be seeing my husband again in 16 days!

Can solve the mystery of how case get interviews, i.e K1 vs CR1/IR1 and i will send u a muffin. We need a NVC adjudicator interview.

Here's what I know.

after case complete, a final review is performed.

Once the final review is complete, the casefile is lobbed over into the 'scheduling' queue.

NVC claims there's a 'scheduling week' each month - so you'll hear blather from a NVC TeleOperator about scheduling occuring within a certain week. I dunno - the majority of scheduling DOES occur during that week, but what does that really mean?

*THAT* week is the week that MOST IV Units release their open slots in their calender to NVC. NVC then schedules the interviews based on this 'open slotting' given to them by all of the IV Units. China is an exception, there may be others.

So, if an IV UNIT is lagged, or backed up, they won't be releasing 'open slots' for appointments , for NVC to be scheduling during that 'scheduling week' at NVC.

Whew.

IIRC, GHANA had this problem for almost 6 months, with lots of backed up stuff occuring - they almost shut down the IV Unit Calendar , shifting to handling administrative review almost 100 percent till these casefiles were finally released or approved or denied.

Now, I don't want a muffin, per se, but a photo of yer forehead with the keyboard imprint would be priceless. Double points for dried drool, found after waking (you know I'm teasing, on this one bit) ..

Go Get Em !

PS - with some exception (PI and a few others) the IV Unit schedules a K-1 visa based on packet 3 return.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Like dwheels said, if your pay stubs have a YTD (year-to-date) amount on them, then you only need the most recent one. If not, you just need a handful of the most recent ones (like 3 months worth or so). And even if you send in pay stubs, an employment letter is still a great idea! We did both for our case :)

So when you run out of room on the DS-230 with one of the lines(example, all educational institutions), do you fill in some of the fields and then use one field with the note saying: "see attachment".

OR, do you simply say "see attachment" with the rest of the fields blank?

If you don't have enough room to answer the question in its entirety, then don't fill in anything and simply just put 'see attachment' (with the other fields blank). Then on the attachment, write out the entire question, and the whole answer.

So on the DS230 where it says where you have lived. My husband put dates but for current date he put present... is this ok? I still havent got invoiced as of yet for i864 still waitin. But i want to make sure the ds230 part 1 is correct.... and how long is it supposed to take for AOS to be invoiced goin on almost 2 weeks. ??? At least feels like it lol.

Yes, you're supposed to put 'present' for the "to" field on the top as your current address.

And typically, it usually takes a few business days from case number being assigned for the AOS to be invoiced. You have been checking the payment portal right and not just relying on some email? You can try calling NVC tomorrow and seeing what's up. They're probably just backlogged though.

Also I wonder when that "2nd week" starts for them. Like if you are done by what the 14th, 15th, Goodness knows. Well I better just work on getting done by month-end huh.

Today we had our interview, and my husband's visa was approved!

I'll write a consulate review later, tonight we are going out to celebrate. The Sydney consulate is very nice and efficiently set up, and everyone is pleasant. Our interviewer was really nice, and the interview was short and cursory. We did get stuck there for two hours. Great view though.

Many many thanks to all the wonderful people here (Saylin especially)--without VJ, I would have been lost. I hope everyone here gets good news soon! Hang in there, you *will* get through it all, even when sometimes you think you never will. Big hugs to everyone!
