BTW, are you having a co-sponsor? If not, then if answers to all below question is "Yes" then you should fill out I-864EZ document instead of I-864.

If the petitioner answered YES to all 3 questions, that only gives him the option of filing I-864EZ instead of I-864. It doesn't mean they SHOULD use the I-864EZ - they MAY fill out either form.

Joining up on the July thread....hope this months ends with everything accepted and things rolling on their merry way!

Husband is STILL waiting for his police clearance from Edmonton Police, so he made an appointment with Commissaires this coming week to pay even more money (sigh) for another clearance, which will hopefully be in soonish, so he can submit package IV. Sheesh!

I paid the package IV fee today. Any idea on how long it usually takes NVC to accept/RFE/give some response on AOS package when done via electronic processing? *fidgets*

It's currently taking a week to review packages, whether physical or electronic.

Unfortunately, no, they're not open on the weekend.

It's currently taking NVC about a month from NOA2 date to assign a case number. You still have about 2-3 weeks left before you get a case number.

No.

about 16 months ago, you could use the AVR for some over the phone data retrieval 24/7 365.. it doesn't exist anymore..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I lived abroad too and just recently filed my tax returns for 2010 and 2011 even though I didn't need to pay taxes because I met the foreign income exclusion requirements. But I found a co-sponsor and plan on using one even though I have a great job now.. Just in case. However, if you have good proof of your current employment and a tax transcript from the past three years, you may be able to get by without one. I still recommend it though, since that's what I'm doing. Good luck!!

Well a co-sponsor is not an option for us. I have a new job that makes plenty and the 2009 and 2010 shows i made plenty and 2011 good explanation why I only had $4100 (Unemployment) cuz I was out of count. I really think with pay stubs and employment letter we will be fine.We better be. wacko.gif

Alright! Finally here...Received our I-130 Approval email and text on the 28th with an approval letter in today's mail, well yesterday's now....Approval date - 6/27/12....I hear the process speeds up from here, I certainly hope so. My wife and I have spent much of this weekend making sure we have all the proper paperwork ready. I have already set a reminder for myself to start calling NVC in about a week to start inquiring on my case number. I really like this forum and the people I have spoken with. It is great to know that I am not alone in this process although most of the time it feels that way. Thanks everyone and best of luck in your journey!

NVC receive my I-130 on May 28th so the thing I have to is call NVC everyday and get my case number. I shouldn't wait NVC to email me that case number is generated, right? And as soon as I get my case number from the operator, I can send NVC DS-3230 without receiving any notification from NVC? I'm hoping the end of September interview..Is this possible? Hope NVC speed up our case since I waited almost 2 months to NVC received my case from my NOA2!!!

i FILED FOR K3 in January 2012. My i130 and i129f were approved on the same day (May 29th 2012). Since then, we have been waiting for the case to be transferred to NVC. i CALL THE nvc every other day. I even scanned the i129f and sent it off to NVC research over 2 weeks ago and yet, they claim both petitions still havent arrived at NVC.

We have a lawyer, who will be handling the matter for us. I want to know if its is alright for me to do the following up on NVC, even though we have a lawyer. I also want to know what the NVC STEPS are, when using a lawyer. I thank the VJ members in advance for your constructive inputs.
