You are welcome!

I suspect it's not EZ form because "Household Size" calculation is Question # 16 on EZ form, whereas you said it is Question # 21. As a matter of fact, Question # 21 is on I-864 form.

Section # 2 is about principal immigrant's present address in foreign country. I am assuming that you (wife) are the petitioner (i.e. NVC uses term "sponsor" in AOS) and your husband (who lives in Nigeria at present) is the beneficiary (i.e. NVC uses term "Principal Applicant" in AOS). If this is correct, then Section # 2 should have your husband's information including his present address in Nigeria where he likes to receive any mails during immigration process.

I so thank you.good.gif I hate not knowing stuff. But this stuff is too important to assume and guess. And I rather look stupid and ask and I know someone out there is thinking and wanting to ask. So I will take the pill and for us all. Thank you so so much I864EZ all done. You rock.

Now just a little letter of explanation why 2011 sucked.in the income department. unsure.gif

did you make above I-864 poverty guidelines as per your household size? You may need a co-sponsor if you did not make above poverty guidelines in 2011.

No I was out of the country living with husband than came back and was on unemployment. It shouldn't be an issue since my current job is 4 times the guideline and some. isn't current what they seek? I won't need a sponsor and they will see form the previous 2 years I always made good money.

Part "c" should be marked as "0" because you have already counted your spouse in "a"

BTW, are you having a co-sponsor? If not, then if answers to all below question is "Yes" then you should fill out I-864EZ document instead of I-864.

Questions:

All three of the following are true:

1 You filed a Form I-130 petition, for your relative

2 There is only one applicant on the Form I-130 petition, and

3 All your qualifying income comes from a salary or pension and shows on one or more W-2 Forms that you receive

AOS Instructions: http://travel.state..../info_3197.html

It is difficult for those who are afraid of maths :) I always find it easy and fun :)

Indian people are good in math, my fellow Nurse Indians dnt use calculator when calculating intake and output of our patient wow.gif

I can do that too but it will take time laughing.gif

Joining up on the July thread....hope this months ends with everything accepted and things rolling on their merry way!

Husband is STILL waiting for his police clearance from Edmonton Police, so he made an appointment with Commissaires this coming week to pay even more money (sigh) for another clearance, which will hopefully be in soonish, so he can submit package IV. Sheesh!

I paid the package IV fee today. Any idea on how long it usually takes NVC to accept/RFE/give some response on AOS package when done via electronic processing? *fidgets*

Got lots of good info from the June thread :thanks: but no case number yet! I'm pretty sure I'll be joining y'all in the process this month because my NOA2 was June 11th - woot!

Time to move to the new thread. Hopefully I'll have both packets in the mail Monday--the IV packet is pretty much ready, the AOS packet is still waiting for tax transcripts (yes, I stupidly ordered the wrong ones). Of course, with the holiday mid-week, I'll be lucky to get them there and in process before next weekend...

Good luck to everyone waiting for news!

I totally understand about the tax transcript stuff! Just waiting on my late tax return to be processed so I can go to the IRS office myself and get my transcript the same day. I don't have a case number yet but I'd hate to sit waiting on a tax transcript. *spoiled*

I am in tears so happy to finally be joining you for real. I have dedicated my whole weekend to studying at length these links. Funny they don't hit u until u are finally there. Welcome July filers. Here's praying the logjam at NVC loosens up. (now if I could only update my signature...hmmmmm)

Congratulations and welcome! And same to all recent NOA2-ers! Haha. Those who have been paving the way for us, thanks and congrats too!

Okay can't believe I already have a question. On the I-864 form for Principal Immigrate what address is to be used. Mine here where we will live or where he lives now?

Where he lives now. Don't worry about the questions I know I had a zillion and will probably have a zillion more as soon as I get my case number! ;)

did you make above I-864 poverty guidelines as per your household size? You may need a co-sponsor if you did not make above poverty guidelines in 2011.

Check link below:

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf

I lived abroad too and just recently filed my tax returns for 2010 and 2011 even though I didn't need to pay taxes because I met the foreign income exclusion requirements. But I found a co-sponsor and plan on using one even though I have a great job now.. Just in case. However, if you have good proof of your current employment and a tax transcript from the past three years, you may be able to get by without one. I still recommend it though, since that's what I'm doing. Good luck!!

I have a good feeling about this month - lets get some case completes and interview dates! :):):)

Thanks for all the help everyone!

Thanks for asking the questions...I made a mistake on my Affidavit of Support and will go and correct it tomorrow at the office. It was the same with counting the number of people in my house. It should have a side note to "C"...if your spouse is counted from the first page, enter 0 on this line...something like that! The way word it is very confusing!

I'm just trying to keep a watch on all questions and answers...and study, study, study!

Do the I-864 tax returns have to be official transcripts from the IRS, or can printed files (PDF) of previous returns be used?
