The Customer Service Center staff are notorious for giving people the wrong information, but I really hope in this case they know what they are talking about. It's definitely time for the VSC to start adjucating petiotions from February 2011! You could be current in about six months and they need to approve your case soon. Keep us posted!

Sure i will brother, This time it seems like they are serious though, lets hope it !!!!!!

Today, USCIS has updated their date again for October. But Vermont center still says 23 January 2011.

Nasir Ahmed

PD: 21 June 2011

There was another update yesterday, but VSC is still stuck on 23 January 2011. The data seems to be from 30 September. Has anyone been approved since then? If not, it's likely we'll see 23 January again in the November update.

What could be the reason behind the delay in our F2A approval (NOA 2)?

Back in 2010, approval processing times were 5-6 months. Now, it takes more than a year! :bonk:

I have a friend who has F2A PD SEP 26, 2011 and, to this day, she's still waiting for NOA 2 from CSC. :(

It seems we're being swept under the rug.

I agree with n4th4ly4, the January (do we have any left here?), February and March 2011 filers should call USCIS and ask to speak with a Tier 2 Officer. They probably won't accept a service request, but at least the officers should be made to understand that there are petitioners whose cases are less than six months from being current and that those cases need to be approved NOW! Otherwise we will soon start seeing members here whose PD is current but whose case hasn't been completed yet.

Any good news here? Hopefully when your priority date become closer, you will receive your approval.

I think my priority date is already close enough! :) I am fairly sure that the NVC will start processing August 2011 CSC filers before the end of this year. I would have loved to be that far with the process too, but it looks like there's still a long wait ahead.

Athena, i think we cant do much for this year, nothing but just wait... we might hv rights to call and push VCS Around april 2013, i think on that time our PD will be 6 months from current .

I said like this bcoz i see the pattern of visa bulletin. It move 1month each of month. So... be prepare all the document untill april 2013. We still hv 5-6month to relaxs, pray hard and be prepared . :-)

My PD is 7 months from being current.

Yesterday mu husband called VSC, they told him that our case is under normal processing time, all we have to do is wait.

Is there any requirement when exactly Service Senters must make decisions on I-130 forms? Does it have to be some time before the PD becomes current? Or can it be after?

09/09/2009 met and had been happily dating for almost a year when my husband (bf at that time) won in a green card lottery. By that time he divorced from his ex-wife, and I graduated from the university and had obligatory job placement in Belarus for 2 years on.
11/19/2010 got married. In about a month he left for the US and applied for family reunification.
03/24/2011 Priority Date
04/08/2013 NOA2

06/14/2013 Case Completed

I don't think there are any rules about this. I've seen people only getting approved after their PD became current. This was in 2010 when NOA2 took three years, the cut-off dates were suddenly moving very rapidly and USCIS just could not keep up. Of course, when these people finally got their approvals and completed their cases at the NVC, the Visa Office no longer had enough visa numbers for everyone and the infamous retrogression happened. This is why the VSC needs to find resources to continue F2A processing NOW, otherwise we may again see retrogression in 2013.

Best of luck to you - let us know if you get your NOA2.

Vermont Service Center last updated today on 9 November but it still says they are processing 23 January 2011. Same date for more than 6 months.

The chart is still based on data from 30 September. However, since no one here has reported having been approved in October, it looks like the next update will not move the processing date any further either.

By the way, if I remember correctly, VSC has been stuck in January 2011 since the beginning of this year. This is just beyond frustrating at this point!
