I am as angry as you are, especially for not being approved at least, and the worst thing is that no one with PD starting early Feb 2011 has said anything of being approved. That means that when they will update the processing times next month in january 2013 for " as of novenmber, 30, 2012" or either the following month for "as of December 2012" we will still see Jan, 23, 2011. So this forum is the only way of finding out if they ever gonna start moving or not...

fjoal, in other thread you r saying u got approved. have u got your NOA2 mailed to u? can u copy paste in here your email from uscis that stated u got approved?... plss so we all know that something really going on with VSC. thanks

I believe fjoal is approved because anyone who applied after august of this year got transferred to NBC and then approved in a few months. All the i130s from vermont filed in aug or after aug went to nbc. I wish i had filed in aug too. So fjoal is most likely approved. Vsc is officially hybernating, losers.

I think you're referring to i-130's of US citizens that were filed in August 2012.

I don't think F2A i-130's got transferred to NBC.

Maybe fjoal's application sneaked into the citizens application. Do you think vsc is separating f2a and IR1 applications thoroughly, i dont think they work that hard.

The processing time for citizens is May 2012, so I don't think this would be the reason. However, although petitions are as a rule processed on a first-come-first-served basis, there have been plenty of cases (just read the IR/CR forum from time to time) where people get approved early for no obvious reason. Maybe in fjoal's case the officer just took a petition from the wrong box and decided to process it anyway, who knows...

February 2011 filers, have you had any touches on your cases lately?

My F2A/IR-1 journey:

USCIS:
4 August 2011: I-130 sent (while husband permanent resident)
8 August 2011: Priority date
16 April 2013: NOA2

NVC:

7 May 2013: Case number received, DS-3032 sent

15 May 2013: AOS bill received and paid

16 May 2013: AOS package sent

17 May 2013: DS-3032 accepted

20 May 2013: IV bill received and paid

21 May 2013: IV package sent

11 June 2013: response to IV checklist sent

13 June 2013: Case upgraded to CR1

2 July 2013: Case completed

28 August 2013: Interview - approved!

21 September 2013: POE

18 November 2013: Green card received

My husband's citizenship journey:

8 February 2013: N-400 sent
4 March 2013: Biometrics
24 April 2013: Interview
12 June 2013: Oath ceremony

PD 21 JUNE 2011

It's getting tight for the February filers, but if they get approved this month, they might just about make it. It's possible to go through the NVC in a month if one is prepared in advance, but I don't know how soon after case complete an interview can be scheduled. (I seem to remember that in 2010 the wait was eight weeks in F2A category, but I might be wrong.) I guess we are about to find out.

February 2011 filers, have you had any touches on your cases lately?

My PD is Feb 3, 2011. I changed my address recently and my case status shows that it was last touched on Jan 3, 2013 to change my address. However, it is still under "initial review".

I am interested to find out if anyone has received NOA2's from Vermont Service Center in the last six months. If so, please let us know.

Thanks.

PD 21 JUNE 2011

N Ahmed, yours PD is 1month ahead from me. call USCIS and asked them for service request.

my husband has made a call to USCIS, manage to call and spoke to the Tier 2 ISO (Immigration Service Officer) supervisor, after long conversation and arguments, my husband pushed to the officer to tells us what's really going on with our case and he said on his screen tells that my case has been touched on last December 13th, but they didn't say what it's mean.. and then my husband insist to asked for a Service Request, and the officer agreed to make us SR and said they will send the result within 2weeks from now.

I hope I will get good news soon. will update later.

Well done!!! All February 2011 filers should try to do the same.

Try to speak with a Tier 2 immigration officer and put in a service request. Officially you are only allowed to do so once your PD is behind the current processing times, but since you are now so close to being current, it's worth a try. If I were you, I would also contact my senator and explain to them that unless you get your NOA2 NOW, it is likely that your priority date will be current before you have completed your case at the NVC. Your senator may be able to get USCIS to move on with your file.

Once you have your NOA2, I would expect the NVC to accept your case for immediate processing. To prepare, read the links in this post:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/406819-nvc-filers-january-2013/

With some luck and preparation, you could get through NVC in less than a month.

Best of luck, I hope you'll have good news soon!
