i seen something like that posted here before that someone setup a fake fb profile to catch someone in lies. and then afterward his case was dismissed. so i was wondering if the government has access to things like that?? do they take it into consideration??

btw i dont have fb for ONE reason...........DRAMA!!!!!

I remember a case on here, last year I think, where a beneficiary from a high fraud country had "married" as their Facebook relationship status when applying for a K1 and ended up needing a second interview, but I can't remember whether they got the visa. There have also been several cases where the CO asked for the Facebook or email login details, and we've had cases where it was clear the petitioner or beneficiary's name were googled, so they do sometimes check.

I believe this to be True. Facebook requires your Name and other information if you wish to supply it. It is easily accessible to anyone.

They match them from reading VJ. The beneficiary finds out when they get to their interview. For example, the VJ member will go to their interview and the Officer will say "Oh, so you're VJmembername."

oh wow...even if i dont use my real name on facebook and just nickname on VJ it sounds scarry. i have my relationship status as "married" on FB hope that wont cause me any trouble. we have it like that since we were just early bf and gf. i also posted a very scarry rude status once, and my mother in law jumped saying to delete it cause the goverment might see that and reject me thinking im a criminal LOL

Funny All pics that i been sending from USC /NVC and getting ready for Embassy are facebook Pics and Profiles .

Easy i can re print as i want and shows my trips to colombia , Interactions with my US family and Colombia Family Ect .and my status as marry .

However due to FB security and the crazy of my Ex I secure my Info/ Pics online.

I belive that Social Network is a really Powerfull tool to catch unfaitfull persons and Fraud i Cougth my Ex on her My Space however it can be use to Proof Relationship and Honest relationships
