Comments : very annoying process. when i hit the 6 months mark after the trasfer to csc i called uscis. got the usual "you'll be notified in 2 weeks" stuff. got no mail, no email. contacted first virginia senator, he did nothing. contacted ombudsman, they started working on it. at 7 months mark called again. they found excuses saying it can take up to a year. called again and again until they finally got sick of me and my husband and approved my case. my aos was approved and card mailed in the same day. no more uscis for 2 years

Embassy Review : my plane was late for 40 minutes. i thought ill be late, took a cab and got at the embassy around 12:30 (my interview was at 1). went at security door, the guy inside was like "miss diana p. right?" , me: how u know that?.. (he was just a guardian). he said he gets phone calls. told me to walk around until 1 , so i did. i was bored so i socialized a bit with the guardians around the embassy until it was time. at 1:00pm, i go in, they take everything except my binder, medical, passport, photo album and sent me to another section of the building full of offices. the waitting room was EMPTY!! i was the only one in there. me and a guardian. after 1 minute i was called at window 1 by a romanian woman, a bit bored, she asked me for everything, even the photo album. told me to wait. after 3-4 minutes i was called at window 6 by an afro-american guy, around 30 of age, super cute LOL. he took my fingerprints with the scanner and joked around with me for having shaky hands. i had a small paper cut, he pretended he didnt see it (even if he did). after that i was called at window 13 (i think) to pay the visa, i think she was american, super nice. went back to window 1 to give her the proof that i payed. she told me to wait. while waitting for my actual interview i looked on the window in their office. they had a HUGEEEEEEEEE pile of documents, with my name on it, and my pictures. theres no way in hell we sent so much stuff. dunno what was in there, but it honestly freaked me out a bit. anyway after like 20 minutes of waitting, there was a guy about 40-50, super nice, with some big blue eyes. he made me swear everything i say is true and that ill get married within 90 days of my arrival into the US. i raised my hand i said is true and i swear to get married at the end of the month. he laughed so good at me. here's the conversation
him: heyyyyyyyy (like he knew me for years)
me: hiiiiii :D
him: how are ya?
me: very good thank you. im kinda fascinated by the building
him: actually this is the first interview i take in this new building (sneaky smile)
me: awsome, jope ill be the one to bring the first good luck
him: *laughs*. so where are you moving in america?
me: dufield, virginia. in the country side *laughs*
him: you're sick of the city huh?
me: yessssss. i cant wait to live in a quiet place for once, since i grew up in the countryside
him: for how long have you know sam?
me: 6 years. we met when we were 15
him: on what website?
me:myyearbook
him: how did u get engaged?
me: on internet *laughs* but of course he asked me again when he visited me. and the ring *shows him the ring* i got it in 8th march :D
him: you're togheter since you were 15?
me: no sir. we were best friends. we got togheter in 2010?
him: how did that happen? *surprised*
me: well, i had a crush on him, he had a crush on me. we never told eachother. in 2010 he told me to break up with my boyfriend and that he loved me. so we got togheter.
him: omg u broke up with ur boyfriend for him??? u serious?? *laughs*
me: yes sir LOL
him: you plan on studying there?
me: yes. dunno when yet, because i want sam to study too
him: so you want to work too?
me: yes, i dont want him to work in that factory forever. i want him to have a good education and work with computers as he likes
him: yes, thats a very good idea. im glad i hear that. when will you get married?
me: hopeffuly this month. but the big wedding will be, hopefully, on 10th june.
him: oh is that important day for both of you , right?
me: yessss *laughs*
him: well, your relationship and all the documents are fine. you are approved, welcome to america, and congratulations on your marriage!!!!

well u imagine i started to jump around ask him if he's serious he said i look insanely happy

after that, i waited around 20 minutes for my visa to be printed and for my yellow envelope. i got in the embassy at 1 and got out at 2:30
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
