Only Ones Own Morals could answer this question. To me: NO... There is a difference between "Flatter/Flirt" but they are both separate.

Example: A Co-Worker is wearing a short Mini-skirt and you say: YOU LOOK HOT Today. That is a Flirt. Though maybe to you only meant to Flatter.

Best words would be: You look Nice Today and that is a COMPLEMENT and Not a Flatter or Flirt.

Women loved to be told they Look Pretty everyday and never get tired of it. US Men Have to be really Careful what we say so it is never taken the wrong way.

So, No.. It is Not Correct to flirt Married or Engaged. Just me.

As a former manager flirting is VERY harmful and it can and usually does cost people their jobs PERIOD. If you think it is harmless flirting and this person is uncomfortable it is not flirting it is now sexual harassment and even though it did not have that intention now you are facing a complaint one that could cost your company thousands and thousands of dollars so usually they will terminate your position to play it safe. Also if the person has real interest in you and you are simply flirting to flirt with no real desire, you can cause trouble by rejecting the person causing them to lose face and look the fool for being rejected and then they can turn it around on you claiming you were in the wrong, or what if the woman is in a position of losing her job, you could become the scape goat that she throws under the bus to make sure they dont let her go, because if she/he screams foul before they get fired they can also say they were terminated because of the complaint, once again costing the company thousands of dollars. Make your own mind up, but the possible outcomes in a sue happy high unemployement America to me would have me terrified of flirting with any woman I worked with.

I agree, flirting is never harmless. As a woman in a committed relationship, I find it insulting when men attempt to flirt with me. I find it especially insulting if the man is also in a relationship. Of course there are women who are insecure and will encourage flirting, but that doesn't make it alright. If my SO were flirting with another woman, I would kick his @$$ and kick him right to the curb. I'm worth more than that and he knows it.

Passing harsh judgment on those you don't know says nothing of the judged and everything of the judge.

any way you put it, the above sounds like sexual harrassment to me and i'd expect a call up to HR from work.

and obviously flirting is not harmless...i'm sure that's how arnold started with his housekeeper.

I flirt each and every day this this hot young pinay...

Of course I don't work with her, I value my job too much to risk it for nothing.

FWIW, I live with the target of my attention... She's my wife!

That's how you flirt and get away with it...

How do you suppose I climbed all the way to upper management today? Of course, with lots of kissing #### and flirting with the "management".

Are you testing out the "moral" machine in here to see whether it's still functional on Fridays?

Bah Hah, in here? the VNese immigration forum? Bah hah! where the moral to be honest and play by the rules is almost close to zero.

Just remember, life over there in VN is NOT real! Your money will be worth a LOT less once you get back over here. Back to reality, cowboy!

+1

If you would flirt with someone in front of your SO, then it is harmelss flirting :)

It is important though that BOTH flirting sides know that it is harmless flirting not intended for any further development.

My philosophy has always been that if you are doing something that you wouldn't want your SO to know about, then it's wrong. :bonk:

My wife is still unaware when guys flirt with her, other than when they flat out ask her for a date. She doesn't really have the life experience to understand it all. At times this makes me laugh. She is just clueless.

For me, flirting is fine, as long as it remains light flirting with no real intent. When a group of us are all together the guys and gals flirt, but it is all harmless. Adults know when they are flirting vs when they are FLIRTING.
