My fiance had his interview yesterday which took about 30 minutes.

Letter was given to him, 221g and handwritten "not convinced of genuine relationship, need more proof".

Yet, she did not accept his cards to me, all the hundreds pages of emails / chats / detailed phone records, that are proof of the continuous relationship, she refused them when he took them out to give to her, all 10 pounds of it. She said she had enough.

She never even looked at the continuous relationship evidence, only the previous emails/chats/phone records submitted to USCIS. If she has enough then why ask for proof to "convince her of a genuine relationship ? " She said she believes we chat, talk and email everyday but she needs more proof.

Over a hundred photos including the engagement party and photos of the ring on my hand.

Boarding passes, hotel reservations and billing receipts, market receipts. He asked her what else can we show you and she said anything.

He now wants to purchase our wedding bands there and show her the receipt, other than that I don't know what else she wants to convince her.

He even showed her photos of the wedding garments we will wear for our wedding.

Any suggestions how we can proof our genuine relationship ?

Questions were :

Where did we meet.

Who is my best friend and what is her best friend's job.

When will we get married.

Who pays for the wedding.

Will you go to school when you are in the US.

Which school, where is it, how far away is it , what is the name of the school.

How old is your fiancee.

What day was it when I arrived in Cyprus, what did we do.

What does she do for fun.

Where / when did she get married.

Where / when did she get divorced.

How much does she charge her clients an hour.

What is her monthly income.

What did she drink in the morning.

With sugar ?

What did you drink?

She told him to write me a love letter on a piece of paper...............he did. ( Odd )

She subtracted our age difference on a piece of paper which is 29 years and said again, convince me. I assume she may have a problem with it.

age is a huge factor - yes. talking 10 pounds if info is useless.. no time to spend all day reviewing one case. provide financial mingling .. like property.. insurances and the listed beneficiary.. affidavits (sworn).

If this is a K-1, there won't or can't be much of this.

OP, about all that you can do is to procure letters from people who know you and know of the relationship. There should be more letters from your people than his. They should state who they are, their occupation, their relationship to you, the details of their knowledge of the relationship, and COMPLETE contact information for themselves.

If they can produce hard-copy letters and sign them in front of a notary (the service should be free or cheap at their own bank), that's fine; if all that's feasible to get is an e-mail message, that will do, too.

Excellent people from whom to get such letters are your minister, your boss, and people of standing in the community who know you. Ex-military personnel, especially any who have held high rank or special assignments, are great to get letters from.

He should seek no more than 3 or 4 letters from his people. These should be extremely formal, and certified by a notary-type person in Cyprus.

His CO was a lot kinder than those at the ####### consulate in Ecuador, who refused to acknowledge the evidence that so many of us brought to the interview.

However, a 29-year age difference is massive, especially if it's not common for a woman to be much older than her man in a particular country.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

That's what you guys have to do. Tough one!!! Good luck. Letters from qualified friends may help. Try your senator also. You need to act quick before your petition is sent back to USCIS.

not certain the senator can help when the burden is on the applicant/petitioner ... trace of fraud he/she (senator) have not knowledge of their marriage.. except looking at their marriage certificate.

Hello

We have the same time for all such steps and I also, I had the same 221 (g) for the same reasons. Now I packed my bags and in four days will be with my darling.

This refusal is a challenge for you.

We had 3 letter to senator, our several letters of explanation. I send the same evidence as all things were already settle for interview. My relatives, my friends send the letters of support.

Especially reacted quickly, as your heart tells you.

I believe the senator supports and support of my relatives let convince the CO to review our case with another look. In two weeks l've call telling me that our case were accepted.

Good luck, stand firm and act!

Thank you all for the replies. We are engaged and not married therefore I believe financial intermingling / insurance etc. is not required.

We do not live in the same household yet.

My case will remain at the foreign post and not be returned, we have one year from the interview date to submit further evidence as stated on the 221g letter.

I was in the process of getting notarized letters from people ( pastors etc. ) who know we are genuine and we will submit these at the next interview.

A senator can not help us, the burden of proof is on us, mainly my fiance, as applicant.

I welcome further feedback I can submit.

Thank you.

Agree with the affidavits from friends etc.

Any chance you could request a second intereview at a time you can both be there? The CO seeing you together may convince them of your love.

My senator didn't know about our case also but his immigration specialist was able to keep them from sending the petition back to USCIS for awhile while I submitted more evidence.

Sure doesn't hurt to try!!!

I agree with this. In a case like this I think it is important that both of you be there for the second interview.

Ok, since most of the responses you have received have been from a male prospective, I will give you a female prospective,

This is your timeline:

Met September 4, 2009: How did you'll meet? via online, or in person?

Friendship led to love...

Trip to Cyprus February 18, 2010- Took one trip to Cyprus...how long was this trip?

Petition send July 6 2010 Then 4 months later you file for a K1... have you been back to Cyprus and for how long were each visits. What investment have you'll put into this relationship beside phone calls?

This is not about age, it's about what have you'll invested in the relationship, it not all about money, have you'll talked about the future, and what's in store for both of you?

The problem is how well did he answer all of the questions and did he have confidence in answering them. Did he look the CO in the eye and did he look away when he was trying to explain his answers.

What you are saying is HISTORY! OP needs help on how to fix their current problem. She can't change the past!!!

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
