Hahaha....I'm November 29th when I call and start getting hot. I can only imagine the phone calls they must be getting! These are our lives after all...

Well you wont be the only one calling them that day, hopefully we wont have to and they finally actually 'work' on some files

Welcome aboard. Yes, the CSC is on some sort of hiatus with approving I129f's. For the most part if you filed after 15 May...you are still waiting. There have been some sporadic approvals of late May Filers, but very few. And even less June Filers. We are all pretty much in riot mode around here. I am at exactly 4 months post NOA1 tomorrow. At this point, I'm just looking forward to when I can call and inquire, call my congressional reps, etc.

Good luck in your journey.

this is just getting crazy waiting like this... :(

Completed:

I am so scared now that, with all the people calling and complaining (which I dn't get to do until December 12 - argh!), they're going to get pissed off and change their official processing time to 8 months or something... I mean, surely there's nothing stopping them from doing that?? And I would go insane if they did.

I think I'll start a rally of summer filers to storm the gates of the CSC. Who's with me!?

What I think is crappy is that we all paid the same amount yet because of THEIR delay we are not only stuck waiting but also will be stuck paying the new increased visa fee. On top of that it makes no sense that the VSC is already processing some August people and we can't even get a touch for the June filers. There should be some type of balance. Yea, yea I know we can be waiting 5 or more month but at least be consistent!

When we started all of this, I was hoping that my sweetie would already *be* here by then - at this point I've gotten pretty pessimistic about that happening. Maybe things will start picking up, but I'm not expecting to get to the interview stage until after then. I gave in last night and arranged a trip to see him next month - at that point it will have been 7 months since I have seen him. I was reeeeally hoping he would be coming back with me this time. At least I feel a little less stressed out because get to see him really soon!

Good for you, you'll be able to see your Love soon...

I can't really decide now if I'm going or not. I want to be sure . Hopefully CSC will pick up this month.

isnt that how it is already?i mean if they keep on going like this and dont pick up soon,it will technically regardless of their processing time take 8 months to process simple solid cases.

i check their timeline every day to see if they have changed it from 5 months to much much longer.

you know at least people would know what to expect.

Has anyone ever tried sending a letter directly to the CSC for a status inquiry? I'm guessing it would get ignored. But I'm also hopeful that there might be some response if I sent a professionally written (without showing any anger) letter asking what is going on or maybe give them a suggestion about how they can better serve us as customers and US citizens by giving status updates or letting us know where we are at in the queue. Maybe I could remind them of some things off their mission statement or core values statement (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=2af29c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=2af29c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD)... again in a non-hostile way (as hard as that would be).

Then I thought what if we got organized here on VJ and got all the May and June (and maybe July) filers to send a letter the same week. Granted us VJ members are just a small sample of the people who have file, I still think it would get their attention if they suddenly got 100+ letters of inquiry. I just don't know if it would slow them down or amount to anything good.

Curious to know what everyone else thinks.
