I was studying abroad in spring of 2007 in Cordoba, Spain when I met my fiance. My best friend and I had our favorite bar, but I didn't want to go out the night I met him. She convinced me to go. Not too many people were at the bar when I spotted him; he was in short the most handsome man I'd ever seen in person. Super serious, but with a GORGEOUS smile, I was smitten. Turned around to talk with my friends, and when I turned back, HE WAS GONE. My heart stopped and panic set in. I caught him out of the corner of my eye and grabbed my friend saying, "I HAVE to meet that man!" The rest as they say is history...we were together 2.5 months in Spain before I had to move back to Wisconsin. We've visited each other back and forth about every 4-6 months since 2007. Three and a half years later we've suffered many tragedies while living apart. I moved to Spain to be with him in the summer of 2009, but the downfall of the world economy and job prospects back in the U.S. brought me home. Finally after getting myself settled and steadied, it was time to bring the love of my life home too. In June of 2010 we filed for the K-1 Fiance Visa and now wait for our NOA2...God has blessed us so far and brought us together from the beginning. We were always meant to be together. Of that, we have no doubt. Therefore, we have no doubts going forward. Everything has a reason, and I can't wait for him to be here every day! Cheers to life and love! Through all the tribulations we've been able to find each other! It is good!
