hot diggity, you got a " beep " tone of touches

Haha yeah but it's just because of that stupid transfer...*sigh* if only it actually meant something.

Oh Lord. That is the unluckiest thing I ever heard. I am tearing my hair out on your behalf! Well done on the case status checking. I got so extreme in my methodical checking, but now I've removed it from my list of favourite websites, I'm not reminded about it every time I open up a new browser...

Yes it's my typical unluckiness shining through :dead:

I've been gone on a short holiday for the past three days so I've now hit the 6 day mark. No status checks for me! I think if I can hold out for a few more days I'll be good to go and won't feel the need to check it for a while. (At least I hope that's the case).

Who does the immigration system report to? It's definately not accountable to the people using it's services. What is the channel we are suppossed to go through to get the change we all want?

Nobody is happy with waiting 5 months to process a petition. Nobody.

So what department in the government oversees the practices of the USCIS?

Who actually has the power to make them change?

------------------------------------

I would like to see the USCIS abolished in favor of competing private companies that are accountable to the people and are restricted by security policies given by government.

A private company that wants to encourage people to use it's services and make sure they are satisfied - could make this process alot more bearable and not impede the pursuit of happiness like the USCIS is presently doing.

The USCIS is un-american.

I wish I knew the answer.

I agree with you 100%! There are too many bugs in their system and one way or another they need to be sorted out!

November 1st is 5 months for us, so November 2nd (technically, I think we have to wait until "after" 5 months has passed).... my fiance will be calling his representative in California to find out what the h-bomb is going on. I'll ask him to let USCIS there's some angry VJ'ers out there! haha

Cathy & Paul, I believe you get to raise h&ll before we do, so if you find anything productive out, let us all know!!

Well when my fiancee called last month to check if we filled something out right, which of course they could tell us nothing... they told him to call back on Nov 2nd which is the date of the 5 month mark, so I would try calling on Nov 1st... worst they can say is call back the next day but I am on that phone on Nov 2nd and not getting off till I get some real info!

Hey June filers!

I am new to VP and I am so happy I am not the only one out there frustrated with how long it is taking CSC to process K-1 applications.

My NOA1 was June 19th and have not heard a peep regarding my filing (not even a touch). When I filed I thought we could shoot for a December wedding - NOT!

Last month when spoke with a rep at the Embassy in Nassau and he told me their side of process is that once

an approval is uploaded into the system. They get notified electronically and then approx.

6 weeks after when they get the actual file and when they start the processing K-1 on their side - AGHHHHHH!!!!

Given all this we pushed our wedding date out to early 2011.

This is soooooooo damn frustrating!!!!!!

I will keep you all posted.

Although I'm sure all of you have seen this already... An early June filer got approved yesterday! 133 days after NOA1. I'm sure this is just going to get us all overexcited and then turn out to be the only approval all month, but still... There is life at the CSC!!

Guys check out Igor's list. Someone from late May just updated their timeline and was approved today (CSC). Hopefully this is a good sign of things to come. Good luck all!!
