We used snail mail a lot. It's the best proof because of the post mark on the envelopes. You can't fake that.

i agree with nagishkaw...even if you petition an alien relative say your parents that doesnt know how to use computers this is a best evidence...

it wouldnt hurt to have at least 3 or 4 snail mail in addition to your proof of continous relationship but if your fiance insist not to do so hopefully your skype proof wouldnt be a problem

Hi dear Gen!!! thank you for all the inputs... I appreciate it a lot... I hope our skype would be ok, I don't want to waste time if skype will not be substantial for proof... I'm considering to have snail mails... I will convince him to do this... thanks dear friend... God bless your trip to Hawaii! (F)

hey I never send her any mail since we met but we talk 365 days a year online atleast 8-10 hours a day on yahoo and skype. but after reading ur post i am sending her some cards and i know she will be so surprised and shocked to see them. thank u for clearing this subject. I still have about 3 months before the interview and i will atleast send two or three cards to her in a month. best wishes. abby n sheryl

Yeah I'm considering doing it now... Hopefully my fiancee will do it... God bless us all :innocent:

Hello everyone! I just wanted to ask what are the evidences you prepare for proof of relationship. I have heard from friends who were approved that they had snail mails. Unfortunately, my fiancee doesn't want to do the snail mails. What if we don't have the snail mails, would that be a demerit?

I would appreciate any advice you may give to enlighten me... Thank you in advance... God bless us all :innocent:

hehehe.. hello.. yes sis we are doin it also.. snail mail... :luv::yes:

Hi tee pee13,

OMG!we dont have emails too..coz we usually talk everyday also..is it really mandatory to have emails? :crying:

Any suggestions...pls pls pls....GOD BLESS TO ALL!

We're on the same boat!!! ohh no... my fiancee doesn't want to do snail mails, but I'm considering of doing it now because of friends here who believe in doing this as good proof... whew... Let's do it!!! God bless us

we talk everyday,i can show you proof but still we have snail mails mine has reached to more than 10 for a year that weve known each other and cards too...

aside from that we have txt each other since its expensive for phone calls....

if you talk via skype then if theres a way you can show your call history,a screen shot of it then that will add to your proof...

Dear, we talk on the phone and skype for more than a year now.... I'm praying that everything we will have during the interview be good... I'm scared now and wanted to do all things for better proof... Ohhh my!!! thanks dear gen :bonk:

If you have any birthday cards or anything like that, that would be helpful. We didn't have any "snail mail" so to speak, but I sent my husband a birthday card, valentines day card, etc every year. He also sent them to me so I photocopied them and sent them in. That might be an option for you guys.

It will be interesting to see what happens. My fiancee and I have had some e-mails, one snail mail, but many many IMs. So maybe they may alos look at how often you talk by what ever method you talk. The nice thing is if the internet is fast enough at both ends you can talk using voice. My fiancee's internet slows at times so the voice drop to nothing, so text works fine too.

The OP's question has been answered very thoroughly by now.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

YES it can!! We send each other cards and notes, without telling each other that prezzies await in the post. LOL! I just sent John a card the other day, and he had no idea it was coming. These little things just make life that much sweeter, and they come in handy for interview time! :)
