Help! Does everybody sends snail mails for proof of relationship?

We used snail mail a lot. It's the best proof because of the post mark on the envelopes. You can't fake that.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

The consulates can be VERY behind the times. Ours insisted on seeing cards, etc., which luckily we had. Take NO CHANCES with ANY aspect of the consular interview!

Ohhh no, we should exchange snail mails I guess... Yeah better have all and be safe if they ask for it... Thank you for a very good input... thank you thank you... God bless us all :innocent:

You're Gods' wonderful blessing... I'm so happy to be with my baby, dog eddie, mom and dog molly...

Extremely happy with my married life, but we're praying for a baby this 2010, so help us GOD....

I believe most of what posters above have said covers it.

1) Snail mail is not necessary, as the Consulate Officer is looking at the whole picture. It would best to have phone records, emails, chat logs, etc. going both ways, not just from you to him or from him to you.

2) Snail mail can never hurt, even if you present 3 to 5 pieces each and it can be quite romantic. He can do it if for no other reason, then for the visa. If he still refuses it says a lot about how much care he is willing to put into the relationship.

3) Begin gathering the evidence today and continue until the interview. My fiancée and I have an abudance of evidence that spans nearly five years.

Wish the two of you all the very best!

thank you for that precise input... yeah I will begin collecting our evidence... thank you for replying dear!!! God bless us all...

Hi everyone!

We have never sent snails mails ...we talk online a lot and a little bit on phone...I live in Caribbean now so it`s very expensive to talk on phone...

So we have boarding passes, emails, pictures, and we asked our kids and friends to write a letter to bring at the interview mentionning that we have a real relationship and that they have met our fiance...

Do you think it`s good enough???

Thanks and good luck to all of you!

i agree with nagishkaw...even if you petition an alien relative say your parents that doesnt know how to use computers this is a best evidence...

it wouldnt hurt to have at least 3 or 4 snail mail in addition to your proof of continous relationship but if your fiance insist not to do so hopefully your skype proof wouldnt be a problem

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Hello everyone! I just wanted to ask what are the evidences you prepare for proof of relationship. I have heard from friends who were approved that they had snail mails. Unfortunately, my fiancee doesn't want to do the snail mails. What if we don't have the snail mails, would that be a demerit?

I would appreciate any advice you may give to enlighten me... Thank you in advance... God bless us all :innocent:

we talk everyday,i can show you proof but still we have snail mails mine has reached to more than 10 for a year that weve known each other and cards too...

aside from that we have txt each other since its expensive for phone calls....

if you talk via skype then if theres a way you can show your call history,a screen shot of it then that will add to your proof...
