Also I'm surprised we got nebraska since people who have done this for algeria got a different service center in particular Pontomac or California  but it could be because I'm from oregon... who know why really. 

I am not sure why some countries seem to get a fast track above everyone else either, that also throws off the timeline.

Yes I know hope goes a long way. My wife is a realistic person and she is very familiar with the backwards workings of the government. So she decided in anticipation for the long haul of a wait it will be. We will just plan a family vacation, at least then there is something more fun in focus.

8/01/16- USCIS received packet

9/08/16- Petition Approved

I got my NOA1 on May 30th with a priority date of May 19. Sent to Nebraska :( do not looking forward to this wait. My husband is in Australia and I'm in the US. Hopefully things speed up but it's kind of hard to be optimistic
