My NOA2 was received June 9th and just yesterday we learned that the NVC received it. Later in the evening the case number was updated that it was in transit to the Montreal consulate. Don't give up hope! Keep calling them every few days! That's what we did.

I am still waiting...I was approved April 7th...

Mine expires Aug. 6th.

You've been waiting for 3 months... It's TOO long :(

I'm sure you have already called to NVC a thousand times, but I'd definitely call and USCIS.. Sometimes the case can be sent to incorrect place or misplaced....

Best of luck and hope you'll hear a good news soon!!!

For those of you who are worried about NVC and case expiring, it says in rules send emails, call and write letters to keep your case open

i would send a registered return receipt letter so you have proof

I am very disheartened by what I have read. With only 120 days to complete everything it brings a very stressful situation beyond. To simply answer the question yes I am told up to 6 weeks yet NOA2 says that I should receive a letter stating it is sent to the embassy within 30 days. Hmmmm. that really has me concerned 6 weeks for the receipt from USCIS then a week to process the form, another week for shipping to Manila, an average of 44 days to set up the interview from however long it takes to receive the instructions from the embassy. bringing us to a total of 100 days. leaving only 20 days for the mail to arrive or any issues that may come up like the medical or the crazy amount of Philippine holidays.

still impatiently waiting. I was under the impression that the state department is when things start to move. We can't even seem to get information on what we can get together and make sure that everything is correct for the interview. Perhaps I will be bald before this is done.

I know it says 4 months on the approval but it's actually good for a year all-in-all, your embassy will extend the validity of the approval automatically when the time is about to run out. So there's always that.. but you'd think it shouldn't be necessary.

I was so happy when we got our NOA2. But sadly, the USCIS seems to slow down these days. The NVC has no idea where our case is. I'm guessing it's stil on hold like everybody else.

We are in the same boat. We got our notice last May 27, 2016 and said that ours was transferred to Vermont Service Center and we have to wait until the 19th of June. Then we can call the NCSC. And so we contacted them through email, just last week and they said that they have'nt got our packaged. Then, they asked for the copy of 797-C form. So we mailed it last Friday and have'nt heard from them and hopefully we can hear from them within this week. We are just wondering what is happening? And seems that a whole a lot of people are also like us wondering. Well, hope we all hear from our respective centers... Good luck to all of us. Have a good day..
