I would suggest his 'head' is in Florida. Cousin's already got him 'set up'.

Nigel&Meggie reacted to Penny Lane in UNACCEPTABLE!!!
And no amount of posts on VJ is going to change that.

Nigel&Meggie reacted to pushbrk in ALRIGHT. HONESTY Please
My suggestion is to focus on one petition, get the stack built and throw away the copies you made. Then, on the way to the post office, stop ad FedEx Office or Office Depot etc and hand them the whole stack. Ask them to scan the entire stack, in order, to a single PDF file, reduce the file size and put it on your thumb drive or burn it to a CD. That way you have a soft (electronic) copy of the whole stack without worries. You can email it to your fiance and upload it to your own computer. If you want to print it, fine. This way, if there are any problems, you'll know exactly what you sent.

Calling the White House? Seriously?
How about you call USCIS who might actually be able to help you?
-
Nigel&Meggie reacted to Barbara J in Calling the White House
Sorry but don't be ridiculous. You are just a number on a form and it has nothing to do with the White house.Looking at your timeline you are at 6 months so you need to start calling USCIS to check on your case.

Japan is melting down. The middle east is self destructing. The economy is wrecked, gas will be $5 per gallon soon and Obama is golfing. But if you call him about your visa petition I am sure he will drop everything so you can be together with your honey sooner.

Nigel&Meggie reacted to catheaven in A request for more info after interview?
Thank you for all the answers. I was really nervous about the process and was even considering rescheduling the interview for a later date because I was worried they'd want more than what I had. Your answers saved me from doing something as silly as all that...because I had my interview yesterday and they approved my visa. All that worry for nothing. Geez!

Nigel&Meggie reacted to Brother Hesekiel in AOS interview theory
People still behave kind of normal when in the waiting room. If you really want to find out about a person's real behavior, you'd have to watch them when they're in the bathroom. I would be more worried about the cameras inside the rolls that hold the bathroom tissue.

Nigel&Meggie reacted to Brother Hesekiel in Account Number on Bank and Credit Card Statements
Are you really worried that a Federal Officer would use your account number for a crime and risk 25 years in Federal prison for that.
I mean, seriously?
If you are so worried, I wouldn't send any account statements. I didn't; I only send a letter of our bank listing all accounts and balances. Oh, wait, that's also dangerous. Maybe I shouldn't have send anything to them? But what if the mail carrier opens your letter and uses the information in it to commit a crime.
The best would be to personally hand-deliver the letter to USCIS. Bettter safe than sorry.

Nigel&Meggie reacted to lovest in Packing up!
So! I just wanted to say THANK YOU again!! VJ is such an amazing place! I just wish that everyone's journey was as smooth as ours was
Right now I need to start packing all my stuff because my flight leaves tomorrow afternoon! (I know I'm such a procrastinator), and then I'll be back to my man's side, FOREVER! This feels so amazing and I'm so excited, but I wish I could bring my mom with me! God I'll miss her so much!
Please pray for me as I walk through immigration tomorrow!

Nigel&Meggie reacted to Nich-Nick in UK Police Certificate - 5 years of addresses
I wouldn't list the US addresses. You weren't living there. You were visiting. List places that were your real, permanent residence.

Wouldn't it be great if we had an iPhone App (or similar) for stats? That would really rock. Ok, developers, get to work on it.

Nigel&Meggie reacted to V & J in Its not Fair !
From the Igor's list for Vermont service centre, it seems December filers have been completely forgotten as if they are not part of the petitioners here. Looking at the graph while petitions in other months are being processed rapidly even February, December is completely dormant.
How fair is it that those that filed in January and February are being rapidly approved and some people are waiting for 6/7months for same approval when it only takes 10/15 mins to approve a petition.
I know my journey just began nevertheless, I have been waiting patiently and happy for those getting approval knowing fully well that its is first-come -first-serve basis till that time when I will receive my own approval. However, after seeing all these (especially Jan and Feb approval ), I couldn't help but begin to wounder what is actually going on.
I am glad that others are succeeding but shouldn't it be in order
I guess it might be too early for me to start venting and getting anxious knowing that I still got more months ahead. All the same i wish someone with inside information would enlighten me on why this is so

Nigel&Meggie reacted to Ugly_American in Calling the NVC daily, for the music
The NVC call center’s background music is so familiar now. I call and wait on the line daily, and have done so for the past 10 days. The musical selection is a single, repeating, 42-second loop of synthesized feel good, elevator music. It’s like the music they would pipe into the death chamber as you’re about to be processed into Soylent Green. (Dating myself there. My fiancée will never understand all my references…)
While waiting I was also able to carefully transcribe the calming voice messages. There is a 9-second delay between each of these sequentially repeating messages:
1). “We appreciate your patience while waiting and assure you that assistance is just a moment away. your call is very important to us, and we look forward to speaking with you!”
2). “We know your time is valuable. Thank you for holding. Assistance is just moment away.”
3). “Thank you for calling! Our staff is working hard to take your call now. When we return to the line please let us know how we may serve you.”
4). “All our operators are busy. We apologize for the delay. Please hold and we will answer your call as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.”
5). “Because of the personal attention given to every caller you may experience a brief delay. Please remain on the line. a representative will assist you momentarily.”

Nigel&Meggie reacted to JimVaPhuong in Expedite
Then you shouldn't be applying for a K1 visa. You should go ahead and plan your big wedding, get married, and then apply for a spousal visa. The K1 wasn't intended to accommodate what you want to do. It was intended primarily for people who would find it difficult or impossible to marry in their fiancee's home country. Immigration law generally requires a petitioner and beneficiary to be related to each other. The K1 carves out a narrow exception to this requirement for people who can show that they intend to solemnize their relationship, and then gives them a limited window of time to follow through with that promise.

Nigel&Meggie reacted to amykathleen2005 in VISA Fast Track!
No offense to your package preparing skills or your prayers, but I think it was more like dumb luck than having a well assembled application (although it does help avoid RFE's).
