From the Igor's list for Vermont service centre, it seems December filers have been completely forgotten as if they are not part of the petitioners here. Looking at the graph while petitions in other months are being processed rapidly even February, December is completely dormant. :(

How fair is it that those that filed in January and February are being rapidly approved and some people are waiting for 6/7months :crying: for same approval when it only takes 10/15 mins to approve a petition.

I know my journey just began nevertheless, I have been waiting patiently and happy for those getting approval knowing fully well that its is first-come -first-serve basis till that time when I will receive my own approval. However, after seeing all these (especially Jan and Feb approval ), I couldn't help but begin to wounder what is actually going on.

I am glad that others are succeeding but shouldn't it be in order :innocent:

I guess it might be too early for me to start venting and getting anxious knowing that I still got more months ahead. All the same i wish someone with inside information would enlighten me on why this is so

The wait totally sucks. But I actually don't think there's enough info to really call a trend in the applications with anyone after about September. In December, I see 2 petitions approved. In Jan I see 8, and in Feb I see 8. But in all of these months, that's a really small percentage of the total - and a few of these were probably expedites.

You know what's really not fair? When I applied, the average waiting time was about 60 days. I have been waiting for 183 days since my NOA1. It doesn't bother me so much that I see a random January filer approved, because it seems just that - random. What bothers me is that our k1 visas were obviously SYSTEMATICALLY ignored for months and placed at such a low priority that the average wait time is now at least 6 months...

Welp. There was only a matter of time until one of our dec filers went toppling over the edge. Congratulations, V & J, you are the FIRST one.

Just a mild trip around the boards, and you will see that we are in NO position to start getting anxious when we have at least 3 more months of a wait. There is a thread on the boards that talks about the adjudication process and a few of the reasons why some folks get pulled "out of order".

I know it's hard to swallow and even harder to practice, but you have to set yourself ready to be sitting here until Mid to late June. Then knowing that, prepare for the rest of your life together. We are almost there. Don't give up hope yet and start going nuts yet. Give it at least 2 more months ;)

I'm bummed to see one of our filers getting anxious.

Be strong. We're all in it together...

It's Early yet. I'm fully pre-pared for a 6 or 7 month wait just for the NOA2. Then, theres more time involved. I see No Pattern or Clear Graph in how the system works really. The Original I29-F only asks the basics. Why does it take 6 months? I don't know. ? Others get Approved earlier for the NOA2 and now Financial information, proofof this and proof of that and proof of this and YOUR CHECK. Be Patient as me. Your NOA1 is Accepted. You'll just have to wait like We All Do. I'm a December filer and see nothing just the NOA1 was Accepted. I know; how long does it take to do a background check on the petitioner? Give it time and don't call 911 yet. LOL !

Calling USCIS this Early won't do much good. This is how far you will get. (Humor) It will be fine.

This brings back memories. Filers at the CSC from the second half of May 2007 were seemingly overlooked. The petitions were all eventually approved, at 6+ months.

It's hard, si man, but it's happened to others before and it will happen to others after. Keep the faith.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

For some weird reason I don't mind these petitions being processed at random, not yet anyway :D maybe it gives me hope that ours will be pulled at random or that it may not be a 6 or 7 month wait.

This may not make sense but I am somehow prepared to wait 6 or 7 months to get approved although when I filed I thought it would only take 2 or 3 months. I am not however prepared to get approved whenever and wait 3,4 or 5 months for an interview. Somehow I already know that will drive me over the edge.

Hello, I in no way wish to be rude, but come on dude you haven't even reached the 5 month period! :bonk: Honestly you knew from the start it would be atleast 5 months. As for the CSC being faster than the VSC, that's just how it rolls, when I was at the CSC guess what??? VSC was faster! The 2 centers seem to flip flop back and forth, breathe easy and relax, you still have some time to go... Imagine how those of us that waited our time and got the case complete out of the NVC and were ready for our interview feel, the Embassy in Egypt is closed due to the unrest there. The way things are looking you may have your visa in hand before those waiting for Egypt, imagine how that feels! And FOR SURE my journey began long before yours did. Best wishes.
