NigeriaorBust got a reaction from Asia in Citizen Bring Mother to United States Legally
Overstays are different than illegal entry. She snuck in so there is no forgiving that. She has been out of the US for the length of her ban so there is no ban.

NigeriaorBust got a reaction from ahmedbin11 in I-130 Petition for Sibling
For petition approval you want the center to be slow. That way there is a greater chance that your children will come with you. People that filed 15 years ago are now at the front of the line. That line has gotten bigger over those years. IF the rules stay the same it may be much longer for you. If that happens and you have children you can only get them to come along until they are 21 but there is a special rule that allows them to pad that time for the amount of time it takes to go from being accepted to the USCIS approval. So it the petition sits for 2 years the are "21" until their 23rd bithday.

Does your record show that you were selling or only using ? Selling is a much bigger thing than use

NigeriaorBust got a reaction from Skyman in Bringing my Mother in law to US for visit
She needs to qualify on her own which will be hard. Does she generate her income from her crops ? Try to show why she MUST return.
An I134 is the exact WRONG thing to do , it shows immigrant intent. You can include a letter of invitation , inviting her to visit her new ( first ? ) grandchild and stating that you will provide her airfare, accomendations But it is important to not provide immigration related documents.

NigeriaorBust got a reaction from Mollie09 in I-130 mother/sister
The possible issue with the plan of your sister coming here is that she may be seen as having immigrant intent and turned around. If I were an IO and mom is coming to be an LPR and the daughter was saying she is just going to visit I would have to think really hard about the daughters intent.

NigeriaorBust got a reaction from TBoneTX in GREEN CARD ABANDONED??? NEED STATUS UPDATE
You need to ask them what they want. You are not longer together although still married. Maybe the results of a paid for name search would be enough. One can only hope you reported his scamming to the proper authorities. Letting people that do this stuff get off with just leaving you does nothing to help stop these criminals from destroying more lives.

NigeriaorBust got a reaction from Bobio in Please help. I am overwhelmed and don’t even know where to begin
For most the spousal visa is a better route. A little more time, less paperwork in the long run. For me , I had employment that looked negatively at spouses residing in foreign countries so the K1 was better for me.

NigeriaorBust got a reaction from Hopeworld in Me vs parents petitioning for siblings
Also depending on how old the children of your siblings are they may age out and get left behind.

NigeriaorBust got a reaction from NomesK in USC Prisoner husband wanting to obtain permanent residency for Australian citizen wife
A sponsor must be a citizen or green card resident. They must make enough to support the intending immigrant , their own family and any other immigrants they have previously sponsored. The sponsorship is to pay the government back if you draw on means tested benefits. It does not mean they have to pay your way here. Coming in on a IR visa you will be able to work immediately. Buying a house is about money as previously mentioned . If you are older you don't have to have as much joint anything . You have to prove that you have a valid relationship. Many people create joint accounts , add spouses to their properties and such in an attempt to prove this. It is up to you. Buying a house in both names might be a royal pain in the rear because of all the signatures needed from the parties. You should be able to buy a house in your own name, it is a state by state law about what has to be done for that to happen. Love and co mingling is a great thing until it isn't.

NigeriaorBust got a reaction from seekingthetruth in Pay Me What You Owe Me: Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee Reintroduces Reparations Bill
Funny thing is the US wasn't into the slave trading , it was mostly countries from Europe ( the had the ships ) who brought the slave so they are the ones that should be taken to court . And most of the slaves where brought here under British governance , once again people are going after the wrong party.

So if part of the family owned slaves and the other were slaves , can I sue myself for money ?

While I think of this. It was the natives in Africa that sold people they wanted gone to the slave traders , so they are the people that should be accountable. So we can sue those with African decent for all of this.

NigeriaorBust got a reaction from Janis3028 in Job Scam Alert- My experience with a scammer last evening
Anything that involves checks you get and western union is a scam. It has been used for years by Nigerian scammers. Sending checks and asking you return the difference via western union.
