  1. We sink rigs and build pipelines, not seat polishers in faraway Washington LOL It happens Hersch. Nothing better than getting ole Tx worked up on a Monday morning 😂
  2. This is an absolute and complete no. Engagement ceremonies cause K1’s to get kicked back, we call it “too married for K1”. You do this and you can expect to get married and start allllll over. In 17 years here I’ve seen this happen many times. Usually Muslim countries because the couple wants to skirt the religious law to be together and still enjoy the faster K1 process. Our CO’s are full aware of the rules and laws that have to be navigated and they take the conservative approach and declare the couple “too married”. Dont do it.
  3. In related news, the US rig count - reduced to a mere 289 in Jan, 2021, has climbed to 759 in two years. Crude oil production is up by 1.2 million bpd. It appears that America actually cannot eat, drink, and fuel up on red hat memes and slogans after all. M1 money supply, which jumped from 3.4 tril in Jan, 2020 to 18 tril in Jan, 2021 peaked at 20.62 tril in early 2022 and is falling. Both of these things - hyper inflated money supply and energy production indicate that we are moving in the right direction. What say the Red Hats? You are producing what? Articles? LOL
  4. She needs to stabilize and update her address, license, registration, etc to reflect the state she lives in. Last thing she needs is to be dinged for not following state law in the middle of N-400. She has to be a legal resident of her state for 90 days before filing. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/n-400instr.pdf
  5. In that context I wouldnt suggest claiming a financial hardship
  6. ?Mental health and financial hardship to the petitioner or beneficiary?
  7. Is your move permanent? Yes. Are you on a temporary job assignment? No Example: I worked in Saudi for 4 years. My address with my property, vehicles, banking, drivers license, credit cards, insurance was in Texas. My USCIS address was in Texas. When we got back we leased another address, switched it over, and I updated my address with USCIS.
  8. This petitioner “entered” the US years ago. This is a rule about primary (initial) entry, not about where the petitioner is when the beneficiaries enter the US. With that said a petitioner can’t be living and working outside the US and sponsor someone. If you are referring to a temporary trip that coincides with a beneficiary’s US entry you are mis-applying this rule.
  9. Sounds like you did right here. Not a suggestion. Your only choice is stay the course or plan to visit them in India. Nobody leaves for a “vacation” then never goes back unless it was planned. Good luck
  10. OK that’s good. You do answer “yes” but you do not count her towards household size in your affidavit. Rough situation. I empathize. Best of luck moving forward 👍
  11. If the parents are established residents and on a temporary trip none of this applies.
  12. You answer yes. You say no and you’re done. They’ll know. NOTE: If she is still an LPR without 40 SS credits you’re still on the hook for her and she counts towards your household size. Not likely, but you need to always submit accurate information.
  13. None of us with spouses in their home countries had any of this. I literally had one visit/wedding before I filed LOL. Attach evidence of your trips, marriage cert, ID info, maybe a couple photos and send it in. You are worrying for nothing. You’re not going to share banking and credit or any of that stuff until she gets a SS number anyway - the ONLY thing I did when I got back after getting married was enroll my wife in benefits (health etc) pending SS number (the window opens on change of circumstances) but many do not want to pay for health insurance that cannot be used outside the US so they don’t even do that.
  14. Then you’re fine. “Current”’ income demonstrated by paystubs and bank deposits will suffice.
  15. You have option A only. Unless you want to have christmas dinner with your parents in the sunny utopia of India for the next 10 years. Even honest K1’s who follow the rules to the T have to grit their teeth and ride it out. So we need to get a couple things out of the way. You have admitted here on a public forum that you researched and planned to have them enter to adjust from a visit visa before they arrived. This is not what this forum is for and here is not the place to get help for that.
  16. Birth certificate, passport, or both sides of a green card. See instructions items 11a-11c Primary sponsors/petitioners do not have to provide this because they have already done so. Joint sponsors do.
  17. Visa, green card, and all subsequent documentation is issued in passport name. This is the best time to change it.
