OldUser reacted to milimelo in What Visa get's my wife (GC)'s sister and her niece to US?
Or OP can go the route of sending wife with children to PI so wife's sister can help out. Or even go altogether. Perhaps he can do remote work from there?

They go to socialsecurity.gov and download their most current declaration letters. No need for bank statements.

OldUser reacted to RadChan in I-751 October 2022 - Filers
Ignore my post - yes have just done some research and it appears it does. You know what would be really helpful? If USCIS actually said that on their own page re instructions for i-751. Ah well. Back to the printer to kill some more trees just to spend a ton posting it and have someone scan it all in the other end, because not like the internet is a thing that exists... lol

You read the correct information here - it’s not true.

If it helps anyone, my O1B was approved October 12, just over 4 months later

There's no way to predict the specific day off that you will need.
You might get 4 weeks notice or more, or you might get less.
If the boss says no when you know, then you will have a tough choice. It would be an easy choice for me: tell the boss I'm going to take oath anyway, and he fires me, he fires me.

OldUser reacted to da95826 in I751 Transfer Notice
All i751 applications that are destined for an i751 interview go to the National Benefits Center and are held in a cue until the local USCIS field office is ready to schedule an ROC interview.
All interviews for ROC and citizenship are held at the local field USCIS office assigned to your local address on the i751/n400 applications or latest address updated with AR-11.
It is possible for NBC to approve an i751 without an interview but this seldom happens, the most likely thing to happen is a combo interview i751/n400 at your local USCIS field office. There is also a small chance of separate interviews for i751 and n400. The removal of conditions must be approved first before naturalization can be approved.

OldUser reacted to Mike E in No response to i751 package sent!!
Cool. So on future I-9s don’t use your green card. Use your SS card and state ID / DL.

OldUser got a reaction from veronicadc in POTOMAC (YSC) I-751 Non Transferred Filers ONLY...
If you have unrestricted Social Security Card and unexpired state ID or driver license, you can show that as proof to your employer. You can alternatively get the ADIT (I-551 stamp) and use that as a proof.
You are the LPR even with expired extension letter, and can continue to work legally while you have your residency status. The status does not expire with Green Card or extension letter expiration.

OldUser reacted to Mike E in No response to i751 package sent!!
Double check that Elgin is correct for your state of residence.
You remain an LPR until a judge removes that status.
1. Do you need to:
* Renew a drivers license
* travel internationally
* get a new job
?
If so you should call USCIS, say info pass, and request an I-551 stamp.
2. Carry evidence that you filed I-751 on time.
3. If your social security card is restricted, today is a good day to go to the SSA office to get a card that removes that restriction.

OldUser got a reaction from Blasian in I-751 October 2021 Filers
It is painfully slow / partially done this morning in my experience also. Wouldn't worry too much and give it few hours / days.
Hopefully they're just processing a lot of applications simultaneously this morning 🙏

There is an entire sub-forum here for AOS from non-immigrant visas.

Name-calling is not allowed under this site's Terms of Service. We can disagree without being disagreeable. Knock it off, or administrative action will be applied.

OldUser reacted to Daphne . in applying for both immigrant and non-immigrant visas
It was the overstay that caused the denial, not the pending I-130.
I was able to apply for a new Esta when my old one expired while I had a pending I-130. Had no trouble at all.

Do you think it may be difficult to prove that her house and daughter are ties to her home country when she spent 3 months inside the US without them?
Good luck

OldUser reacted to SusieQQQ in applying for both immigrant and non-immigrant visas
Riiiiiggght , the immigration agents are nasty jerks and the system is evil and corrupt and they won’t give her a non immigrant visa because she’s immigrating and everyone is terrible, I guess this is just a venting thread and not interested in logic. I mean, how dare immigration officials apply the law? Ugh.

OldUser reacted to Boiler in applying for both immigrant and non-immigrant visas
So she knew her overstay meant she
was no longer eligible to ever use the VWP and tried anyway
On the positive side this should not impact the immigrant visa.

OldUser reacted to powerpuff in applying for both immigrant and non-immigrant visas
Even if you applied for the B2 before CR1, it is in no way a guarantee that she would have been issued a B2. With the past pattern of travel I’m not surprised at their decision, it is what it is.
We see this everyday with non-ESTA/VWP nationals. The B denial rates are rather high for many, including people I know personally. I did not even bother applying for that during our immigration journey, we had to meet outside of the US.
