NikoTaino got a reaction from momshie in Does adding a derivative child change DQ date?
Take a look at this question/answer:
    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview/appointment.html#int1
Can I include my children if they were not originally part of the case?
If the visa for which you are applying allows derivative children, your unmarried children under the age of 21 may be added as derivative applicants after your interview has been scheduled. You must directly contact the embassy/consulate to request specific instructions. At the interview the added applicant(s) will be required to pay the same fees, and submit the same forms and supporting documents as the original applicant(s).

Assuming they haven't added a derivate child, I recommend to wait until they get the Interview letter and then contact the consulate as previously specified.

    Hi there,

I've been looking for some Santo Domingo threads to keep myself updated with the waiting timelines for the interview letter and the scheduled interview date. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see updated entries on the subjet.
If your case is going to be processed at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and you were DQ, please post your DQ date and let us know once you receive your interview letter. Let's share this information with other members from the same country so everyone is aware. You know how we are! 🙂

To begin, our case was DQ last September 9th, 2022. I hope to get the Interview Letter (IL) by mid December or so, about three months after being DQ.

    Have a nice day!

If they receive your email that you guys are no longer together, Embassy wont cancel her interview rightaway or what , they will let her in and do her interview, and they will ask her if you guys are still together and still talking and if she lies and say yes while they know the truth they will handle her a denial with 221g. And keep her passport in order to see if you guys can still work it out or give it to her back , but if its a withdrawal they will but my fiancé didn't brought about withdrawal. It was only canceling but they kept me under administrative for a time
But it's very stressful and heartbreaking

Hey, did you check ceac case status?

we got a specific email with the subject “Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified“ and a message on the portal along with it

we didn’t get an RFE, but I’ve seen on this forum that you get a message telling you what they are requesting from you - so no message doesn’t sound like RFE to me

Yes. Just to be clear do not just upload the signature page.  Scan to one PDF file at a resolution that is both legible and meets the maximum size parameters.

Visa priorities and properties are enshrined in law in the INA. If it is something you feel strongly about, then you can petition your congressmen and senators to change it.

Also as a reminder - no one is forced to come to the US. Immigration is both a privilege, and a choice for those who immigrate. There are indeed people who choose to remain in their home countries rather than immigrate without particular family members, regardless of their age.  That’s an individual choice based on one’s own priorities.

Quick question: Do you see the "Documentary Qualitified" message in your CEAC profile?
I want to make sure we're both on the same page, specially now that you say "and the arrows are still pointing at ‘submit civil documentation". This doesn't seem to be right.
    I mean

Remember to pick the right document type for every new document.
And don't forget to click the submit button once documents are uploaded and ready.
    You should see the “Submitted”.

    Yes, it's ok.

Well, once you submit new documents and you have an RFE, your profile is updated and put back in the line for the new revision.

You have to submit them as additional documents under the petitioner documents.
Do you know how to do it? It's pretty simple. Just need to click the “Add document” button, pick a document type and upload it. Make sure you submit the 1040, W2/1099 plus any schedule form if needed.

    Hello!

Thank you for your response. So, we actually submitted everything with our initial DS-260 - no holding back or delaying on purpose. The civil document was then submitted by our attorney again in August (22), and we’ve been waiting ever since. The document does say ‘submitted’.

Our case reached the NVC in October of 2021. I submitted the document again under my name just to be sure, but I believe you’re correct - we’re probably coming around to being reviewed again (I hope).

DS-260 was actually submitted May 2022 (had to dig through my email to check). I was wrong, I thought we had submitted it last year.

You won't be in line waiting for an interview until you are documentarily qualified.
Montreal has scheduled interviews for those DQ'd through most of July 2022.

Since you submitted DS-260 a year ago, I assume you waited on submitting civil documents to purposefully delay immigration. If you got an FE for divorce certificate 2 months ago, then it would appear that (barring any previous FE's) you submitted civil documents for review in June of this year.

NVC is currently reviewing documents submitted August 15th 2022 - so if the resubmission of the divorce certificate was around that date you will be close to being reviewed again, and then hopefully DQ'd and put in line for interview. Ensure that the documents have been submitted and not just uploaded!

As @Miss1 and @arken mentioned, a passport-style photo is what you need to submit. For instance (see attached image).
Note: The image has been pixelated on purpose since it is not mine. Make sure the one you submit is high quality.

Questions previous posters neglected to ask are about the capabilities of the person asking the question.  To do this yourself, you must have excellent English language skills, the aptitude to understand technical sentence structure, and the willingness to do lots of detailed homework.  This is all true regardless of any red flags or how simple the case might be.  In all my years here, (17) I've seen scores of members who proved over and over again they had no business attempting this process themselves, EVEN with the help of the other members here.  Only each individual knows their capabilities and priorities.  Please don't assume you know them better than they know themselves.  Good professional help is available for those who prefer to have it.

NikoTaino got a reaction from RacD in i129f Writing N/A in all the blank space?
Up to you. You are not obligated to fill all the empty spaces with N/A. Keep in mind you should fill out all the required fields and if they don't apply to you, then a N/A or None for numbers is recommended.
See the 3rd page from the instructions document https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-129finstr.pdf:
For instance. Don't you have a middle name? Then N/A. Otherwise, you don't need to bother adding N/As for interpreter's and prepare's fields.

One more thing, don't forget to sign by hand in black ink. 🙂

    Good luck!
