  1. Not sure about the Dutch laws, but check if there is an option for dual citizenship
  2. It also depends on how many N400 interviews are happening that day at that office- in my case,I had oath ceremony after 2 hours with ~10 others outside the office in the garden area of the office.
  3. I was able to choose during the interview, yes. So I skipped the name-change and took the oath 2 hours after my interview
  4. With the name change request, you won't have same day oath ceremony bc it has to be approved by a judge.I wanted to do so,too but at the interview the officer said: either same day oath without name change,or wait months ( in my case) and take oath AFTER the name change🤷‍♀️I wanted to be done- so I skipped the name change and had same day oath ceremony 😊
  5. Ok....well,it doesn't apply to me- unfortunately I got naturalized BEFORE Germany changed law last year- now you automatically keep your german citizenship. I lost mine automatically in 2023 bc I didn't meet the requirements for the so-called "Beibehaltung"🤷‍♀️
  6. No,I wouldn't. Why should I? Only advantage, if you might call it advantage, is: the line at customs for European passport holders might be shorter....🤷‍♀️ just my personal opinion
  7. You need to book your ticket with your us passport and show the us passport at the airport and at customs in Germany-so,no need to worry about the maiden name in your German passport😉
  8. Safe the money for a lawyer, you'll be just fine filing yourself! Almost done with everything 🙌 Good luck!
  9. Every interview is different, but st mine - the officer didn't want a single piece of anything 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
  10. Ok- don't look for info allover the place- look on the official USCIS website- everything you need is explained and clear, straightforward. Of course, any questions adress right here, but please don't rely on some other websites. Better safe than sorry😉
  11. It starts from getting the greencard
  12. Often they do same day oath ceremony. In my case,I took the oath 2 hours after my interview
  13. You could still provide the bills aboutrent, internet, insurance etc and mark those on the bankstatements incl a short letter explaining the fact about splitting responsibilities- that's what I did and it was more than sufficient
  14. It's way more inconvenient to be asked for it- and not being able to show it,don't you think?🤔
  15. He doesn't have policies, a plan...just a concept of a plan about someshit,basically- he says he wants to "do" a lot....but,he can't just do about anything without congress etc.....
  16. Good luck for your interview!👍😉
  17. Appologies🫣😉
  18. CONGRATULATIONS 😃 🥳🥳🥳
  19. I was able to go on their website and disqualify myself cause of not being a citizen at that time.just takes a minute to do that.
  20. I didn't have that option either,I had to go to their office
  21. I got the same answer at my AOS interview- and just 20 minutes later, while driving home, got an email about status change: approved 👍 You'll be fine 😉
  22. Just take the naturalization certificate to social security office- they update the information and send a new card ( same number) without any restrictions.
