Meilyn22 got a reaction from Boiler in Starting divorce before interview. What happens? [merged threads]
Ohh boy! You finally got the green card terminated. The least you should do is leave her alone to do whatever she pleases as long as it doesn't infringe on your rights or bother you in anyway. You already reported her to ICE (even when you said you didn't want to do anything to harm her or something like that). Get your divorce. Whether she gets VAWA or she goes home shouldn't be your concern (like you said). I am saying this because we don't know her side of the story. You have every right to get a divorce, cancel your green card petition and be sad that it didn't work out. But it would be best if you left her alone. We've no idea if she has evidence for VAWA. In your first thread you said it was fine at the beginning, then you said she got into the marriage for green card. You reported her to ICE even when it had nothing to do with the green card issue. You want her deported so she can get a 10 year ban and never have a chance with the new man she's with. I sympathize with you, but things sound vindictive at this point.

The agent should give you a referral ID number. If you didn't get that, then there's a likelihood that the agent didn't put your request forward. Contact them again and ask if your expedite request was placed.

I'm about the same distance away, but in Oregon. I moved here for work a few years back. I was totally surprised to read that about Boise too. But I've been looking for places nearby to visit with good international cuisine, so maybe I'll make it over there one day.

You need an appointment and your appointment letter served as one. Just try to walk in. Go on a Wednesday morning.

My bio is scheduled for 27th of August, but I did an early walk-in on the 4th of August (2 days ago). There's nothing wrong in trying. Just go and see what they say.

Hey, did you get any update saying your finger print has been taken?

After my biometrics yesterday my case status changed to "Case is being actively reviewed."

This might mean that things are pretty close for me at this point.

Pre pandemic my husband and I were able to walk in and convince security that we needed to see an officer (it was for a stamp) however I haven't been back since the pandemic and I don't know the rules

Yes it does. My case number starts with MSC. That means your case is being processed at the National Benefits Center (For I-485 it would be your local field office).

Mine was delivered on a Sunday. Don't worry about it. I got a return ticket and USPS didn't tell me anything about the return ticket until yesterday. They told me it's in transit 🤔🤔🤔

You will need to wait till next week or even next two weeks. From what I can see, they are processing people who filled on the 12th of March alongside Feb and March fillers from 1st - 11th. My document was delivered on the 13th which is a Sunday, so I assume they will process it on the 15th of the March. Hopefully, by Monday - Tuesday they will send my recite.
Your document was submitted on the 22nd, it might take a month or two to get the receipt. So just chill and be hopefully.

Update: Had interview on 3/26 that seemed to go well at the time - just standard questions from a very friendly IO.
Status for I-485 changed to "new card being produced" on 3/29 and again to "approved" on 3/30.
(I-130 was also approved on 3/30.)

Another month another round of AOS submissions. Please be aware that this checklist is NOT all inclusive and you must consult the USCIS website to crosscheck this checklist against/with. The AOS process has been confusing since the pandemic hit, not to mention the added politics. So please I want to stress that you only use this check sheet as a starting point and guide if you will. The USCIS site will be the final guide. Please ensure that you check your forms for the correct versions and editions because if you use the wrong forms USCIS will send back your application to you. This is easily checked on the USCIS website prior to downloading your forms. You should also ONLY download your forms from the USCIS website.  The current and correct fees can also be ascertained from the USCIS website.

    AOS Checklist

Cover Letter listing Table of Contents
(Check Payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security - $1,225.00)

Form I-485 (completed and signed by non-US Citizen/beneficiary)

    Form G-1145
Copy of beneficiary's Passport with biographical page
Copy of beneficiary's K1 Visa from Passport and entry stamp
Copy of NOA2 Approval letter (from K1 process)

    Copy of beneficiary's Birth Certificate
translation of birth certificate (if needed)
    Certified copy of Marriage License
Passport Photos (2) name written on the back
    Copy of DS-3025
Be sure to use the correct filing code of (c)(9) if this code applies to you. The I-485 instructions explains all the codes in detail. If you are filing under a different code (other than (c)(9) the fee for your AOS will not be correct and USCIS will reject your entire packet.

Form I-864 (completed and signed by USC) (goes with form I-485)

Proof of USC's citizenship (copy of birth certificate, copy of passport bio page, or other)
2020 (current tax year), 2019, and 2018 (are optional), Tax Return (with W-2) or Transcripts (transcripts are better if you can get them)  I recommend transcripts
Employment Verification letter (updated one - not the one used during K1 process)

Copy of beneficiary's Passport with biographical page
Copy of beneficiary's K1 Visa from Passport and entry stamp
    I-94
Passport Photos (2) name written on the back
Copy of NOA2 (from K1 process)

Be sure to double check for the current fees as fees do sometimes increase and they can change on a dime so please check. Additionally, check the forms as listed above i.e., current version and or edition date, there have been and will be many changes made to various forms. Consider sending tax transcripts instead of the 1040, and W2's. Also consider preparing a cover letter for each form in addition to the main cover letter. Make sure you send long form birth certificates and not the short form.  Hope this helps in your preparation of your AOS. When in doubt ask questions.

Please consider filing the I-131 and the I-765 even if you don't think you'll need them right now. You never know what changes your life will have on down the road, so I recommend you file these two forms from the start. There has been much confusion coming out of USCIS, partly due to Covid-19 and partly self-inflicted. This confusion filters on down to the people filing for AOS. The above listing is subject to change at a moment’s notice so please check, recheck and check again BEFORE you send off your packet for any last-minute changes.

Congratulations on a successful submission of your AOS packet!

Cool, I can see they are cashing from March now. Today, they cashed people who filled on the 4th - 8th of March. Hopefully, by tomorrow they will start to cash people who sent theirs from 9-12 and then 15 - etc.

I can see this from the tracker.

It's called USCIS Case Tracker. You put a random case number and it updates it to 100 cases. I guess USCIS takes their cases in order. I update the last numbers to see where USICS is in giving receipts. Now it says March 8th. Tomorrow might be March 9, 10 and 11.

The app on iphone is better because you can choose your particular form number to see where they are.

Our bodies froze with no electricity...the longest stretch being 33 hours, then teaser periods where it would come back for two hours then off again. We have a gas log fireplace, but you had to stay pretty close to it.
Our area is not prepared for single digit temps and extended freezing for days. I was vigilant in checking pipes, opening outside taps that started freezing shut, and such so we had no pipes burst and water damage like many neighbors. Water was available throughout because we are not on a city system and our small utility district had backup generators to keep the system running and the water safe. Gas cooktop to boil water kept the tea flowing.☕

We have been been pretty strict for Covid even when our fellow Texans have not...no people/family gatherings, always masked up, hoarding Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer everywhere, no haircuts, nail salon, or indoor dining. Our BBQ place will bring the order to the car, as will all restaurants and the grocery stores. We still wipe down everything that comes in the house with the hoarded Clorox wipes. It’s just a habit now...our new alternate reality that we are used to.

As of yesterday (3/24), our immediate family of six in the area, are fully vaxxed. Plus the parents of a son-in-law making eight. Even the youngest ones not eligible under any special circumstances, managed to get jabbed in January at the health department. They found doses left at the end of the day that would have been thrown out if not given to somebody within six hours of opening a vial. We plan to do a family Easter dinner since we zoomed Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Vaccines💉have become plentiful in our area the last 3 weeks with well organized distribution. Texas opens vaccines to any age on Monday.

Why you may or may not qualify? Do you have job? Is your salary or yearly payment rate above 125% the poverty line? Can you provide an employment verification letter and paystubs? If so, you qualify as a sponsor.

If you want to use her income, she needs to file a second 864, not a 864a like mentioned above. She's not your relative, so she doesn't qualify as a household member.
