Keithn85 got a reaction from PICHAN in When should we arrange payment in the amount of $535 ?
Have him double check the unofficial checklist on USCIS. The process should not have changed because normally you attach the check or money order in the amount needed (FYI for money orders, or at least Western Union ones, they are limited to $500 so you will send two attached to the front of the application. I did mine before the text notication paperwork.
Receiving the receipt has been taking at least a couple months, but they backdated it to when they actually received the receipt.

Keithn85 got a reaction from ThanhNg in Intend to approve? From consulate officer
It sounds to me like they just need additional processing time. Think of it like a random TSA check at the airport. No reason, you were just chosen. If and a big IF you do receive it back not approved, then you can see what they want. But if my fiancée was told that, I would reassure her that we would check in a couple weeks! Take a deep breath and slowly let it out. You are at an excellent step of the process.

Keithn85 reacted to uapilot in US Embassy in Ukraine Opening
Approved! I'll post an embassy review shortly after my fiance stops jumping up and down long enough to tell me what they asked during the interview.
Protip: you'll earn bonus points with the FSO if you follow the instructions and crop your 50x50mm photos before the interview and write the person's name on the back of them.

Keithn85 got a reaction from TBoneTX in PCR requirements for Foreign citizens visiting Ukraine
Shots do not matter. Visitukraine.today pulls their information from ukrainian government and their site says shots do not matter. Even before this restriction was in place, the government would still require PCR test regardless of any vaccine. The US embassy had a snip of this inside of their COVID 19 posts recently also. Hopefully soon the vaccines will help, but I am sure it will be more based on cases until they stop spiking.
I glossed over your last question because I woke up and replied without my coffee. I am really not sure. I know it is not a placebo but I wonder if because there was an agreement to provide vaccines and wait until it showed effective in each country? It seems like even here they are not fully releasing people with the vaccine from certain restrictions. I am behind on my information, but I thought I remember this. I think once cases go down to a true manageable number, then everyone who is currently not will accept the vaccinated people in place of PCR.

Keithn85 got a reaction from Bri&Alejandro in K1 I-134 Form - Part 2 and 3 Inquiry
For this, think of it as when the IRS asks for the same thing. By the time you files your taxes, it changes. They just want to make sure you are not falsifying information.
Take a deep breath, release slowly, and write down your current bank account ledger. And best wishes on the preparation and interview!

I see that USCIS cashed the check sent with my application. I did not sign up for text notifications. The attorneys on my case did not inform me of that. Smh. Anywho, i have not recieved anything in the mail no receipt as of yet. Has anyone else recieve recipet in the mail? This is making me so anxious.

You will know whether you are rejected within a few days of filing. Take in a deep breath, release it slowly and smile because you started your journey.
If the case tracker app is causing panic, take a break from it. Seriously. If you do not hear anything after 1 week of filing, then you are on the road to getting your NOA-1.

Keithn85 reacted to gregcrs2 in PCR requirements for Foreign citizens visiting Ukraine
Someone who arrived 12:10am today was denied entry and deported for not having the PCR test. They were put on a flight to Frankfort which was the transit airport flying to Ukraine. Apparently they will get a PCR test done at Frankfort and then fly back to Ukraine. Don't forget you also need to have COVID insurance from a Ukraine provider for the full duration of your trip. Good luck!

Keithn85 got a reaction from AnnaDi in PCR requirements for Foreign citizens visiting Ukraine
I wanted to let everyone know (as I am USC and trying to visit my Fiancee on Thursday) that Ukraine announced earlier today that PCR tests are a requirement of foreign citizens transiting or crossing border of Ukraine, regardless of country color (US is currently Green so normally no testing or self isolation.) The test needs to be made 72 hours before crossing. This helps more than 48 hours because some places give the 1-2 days for results. I ended up scheduling a test with my local doctor an hour ago and am awaiting results hopefully Wednesday or Thursday morning before my flight. I did request to have my passport number on there also and they will work with me to get it on there.
My biggest thing is this starts 24 March (Wednesday) and I assume it will extend the 2 weeks that the restrictions will. I am not sure who will be visiting these next couple weeks, but I wanted to give a heads up.

Keithn85 got a reaction from Luciana Sarah M in February 2021 K1 Filers
If the fee was collected today, you will probably receive the text by Wednesday/Thursday and the actual paper NOA1 via post mail next week sometime. At least that is what was happening with us January filers. That is awesome though that you all are receiving your NOA1s within a month! Remember, it does get backdated, so the clock actually starts with whatever date they put on your receipt (NOA1/WAC#) versus when the fee was collected.

Agreed!! When you update your timeline use the February date!
Also I just checked the processing times on USCIS website and they are almost up to September filers

Good Morning,
Great news! Money was taken out of my account this morning form USCIS ☺️
No email confirmation or text confirmation as of yet ...
I’ve read post similar to this before.
Anyone can testify how long they waited for confirmation email or text after money was withdrawn from their account for the 129f fee?
mailed on 2/16
received by USCIS 2/22
fee collected by USCIS 3/22

You received your WAC #. I would go to the USCIS case status site and look at it there. It will tell you on there (also the NOA1 form you receive by mail here in the next week or 2) your actual NOA1 receipt date versus the notification date (the date you received the text).

Hey all! I just checked and current processing time has been reduced to 5-7months. I know it is not reduced by much, but they must be speeding up! Just wanted to share the good news.

Keithn85 got a reaction from Fordez19 in JANUARY 2021 I-129F K-1 FILERS (merged)
I am guessing August/September. I think USCIS bases on backdate for their averages. When i updated my timeline with the recepit backdate, it gave me an estimate of August to September.

Keithn85 got a reaction from Fordez19 in JANUARY 2021 I-129F K-1 FILERS (merged)
USCIS says roughly 5.5-7.5 months to process the I-129F. I would check visa processing times on here though just to see what others have experienced. I do that and then add a month for COVID cushion. For example, I've noticed the august filers on here have reported around 6 months to I-129F approval with no RFEs. But your case could be longer or shorter.

Keithn85 got a reaction from DenisaH in No Naturalization Number
Yeah to elaborate on this, I was confused and was on zoom with a lawyer (because he only charged me for a visit and said he couldnt technically fill out the form for me but could answer "general" questions. I said I think i would check this box and go from here and he said "yes because you did not immigrate here."
I just looked at my written copy (yeah i wrote everything out before i typed and sent off) and basically it says "if you answered yes to obtaining certificate of naturalization....then complete other items." That was what i was confused on. If you didnt receive it, you check no and then N/A

Woke up to some good news today. 😭 My fiancé sent me a screenshot of a pending transaction in his card and it was from USCIS with the filing fee. Our packet arrived in the lockbox on 01/28.
We’re just going to wait for the text notification and the NOA1 in the mail. 🙏🏻

Arrived home yesterday from spending a month with my nephews. No NOA-1 physical copy yet but I know it normally takes a week to receive. And with the weather here yesterday, it does not doubt me it was delayed a little bit. And also, the US embassy in Ukraine officially announced they will be processing visas, including K1s, starting April 1st. Now I know they were processing here and there, but they were just not publically announcing it i think to reduce the flood of people scheduling. There might be a secondary reason for this, but the whole point is that is another positive for this process! I hope the same for others who have embassys who are not publically announcing they are processing visas except for emergencies. There is hope.
