Im filing out form i-134 & its asking for naturalization number or citizenship number..

I was not born in the U.S but im a citizen I have an U.S passport, I know that I received my citizenship through my mother but I have no certificate.

What are my options? Do I select "by another method & explain" or?

You leave it blank or put down N/A.

Alien Registration numbers applies to those with green cards.

Yeah to elaborate on this, I was confused and was on zoom with a lawyer (because he only charged me for a visit and said he couldnt technically fill out the form for me but could answer "general" questions.  I said I think i would check this box and go from here and he said "yes because you did not immigrate here."

I just looked at my written copy (yeah i wrote everything out before i typed and sent off) and basically it says "if you answered yes to obtaining certificate of naturalization....then complete other items."  That was what i was confused on.  If you didnt receive it, you check no and then N/A

Ok so I just did some digging..

I do have an A-Number since I used to have a green card. So im guessing im going to use this A number now with I-94 Departure number? Even though I have a US passport now?

Correct.

If you had a prior green card, then yes, you'd use the Alien Registration Number from the I94 or other travel document.

It should be also be in your naturalization certificate.

For some reason, The U.S. still asks for Alien Registration number even once you become a citizen. A friend of mine had to dig his from YEARS ago to file his K-1 visa.

Funny thing is when I filed i129F I left the A number blank because I didn't even know I had one, when I received noa2 a couple days ago I noticed next to my name there was A######### not thinking anything of it until now when I dug out I94 that is 20+ years old to find out its the same number

Thanks everyone!

Check box 11.b. and answer "n/a (see explanation)" and explain in part 7 that you derived citizenship via mother's naturalization, got a US passport and never filed an N-600.

Yes, for question 8 you'd give that A-number. I-94 is not used for LPRs or USCs so ignore anything that asks for I-94.

Alien number and naturalization number are different. You have one but not the other.

Well I didn't even know that I had an Alien number.. I dont even remember having a green card.

Like I said above I have an us passport but i don't have a certificate of naturalization my question was do i select 11.c and explain? Explain how I derived my citizenship thru my mother but didn't receive certificate because N600 was never filed like Demise said above.
