  2. These are my preferred haunts in the lower Rio Grande Valley area of Texas. Going to contact folks there to learn their situation. As regards drought-busting, this works but is far too much. Click all the photos and all the links that you can get into. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Valley sees widespread flooding as severe thunderstorm sets records Just the right combination of atmospheric conditions transformed what was expected to be a slight-to-moderate chance for excessive rainfall in parts of the Rio Grande Valley into a full-blown, historic weather event, with Harlingen getting hit the hardest. 4. Greenland Furiously Making Snowballs In Preparation For American Military Invasion NUUK — Vice President JD Vance was met with a cold reception early Friday when he arrived in Greenland to find a grand army furiously making snowballs to defend against an invasion from the United States. Amid rising tensions, the vice president had to scale back his initial plans to visit the towns of Nuuk and Sisimiut, instead spending all his time at Pituffik Space Base, where he connected with soldiers on the ground to learn the true nature of Greenland's growing war machine. "We've seen them throwing snowballs at snowmen for snow target practice," reported 821st Air Base Group Commander Mark Redding. "It's a very bold show of force. We can't match their snowball technique." [...] https://babylonbee.com/news/greenland-furiously-making-snowballs-in-preparation-for-american-military-invasion
  5. Manufacturer Recalls Faulty Shopping Carts With 4 Functioning Wheels U.S. — Kart Rite Manufacturing (KRM) issued a nationwide recall this week following the discovery of a grocery store shopping cart that had four properly functioning wheels. Grocery chains across the country were mortified when customers were seen rolling their carts smoothly down the aisles without any trouble whatsoever. Now, KRM is taking swift action to find out what happened. "We maintain the strictest standards for faulty cart manufacturing in the country. How could this have happened?" KRM President Bill Basket reportedly said in an emergency meeting with executives. "These carts never should have made it off the assembly line. Two functioning wheels, sure. Three? Okay. But four? Unthinkable!" According to inside sources, [...] https://babylonbee.com/news/manufacturer-recalls-faulty-shopping-carts-with-4-functioning-wheels
  6. Trump Leaves Presidency To Become Even More Powerful District Court Judge WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump announced this week that he was leaving office in order to take an even more powerful position as a U.S. District Court judge. After ascending to the presidency twice in the last decade, Trump set his sights on the next rung up the political ladder, with a spot in the federal judiciary proving him with far more authority to rule the nation. "I love being president. I'm great at it. The best our country has ever had, many people say," Trump told the press. "But after seeing how much power those U.S. District Court judges have, I've decided to resign the presidency and join the judiciary. They seem to really be able to do anything they want." 7. 'We Got Her: British Police Arrest Dangerous 80-Year-Old Who Spread Butter Using A Knife LONDON — British authorities took one of the U.K.'s most dangerous individuals off the streets, with police announcing the arrest of an 80-year-old woman for using a butter knife to spread butter on her toast. "It took the cooperation of three different departments working around the clock to bring this vile fiend to justice," Chief Inspector Gimmy O'Brien of the Metropolitan Police Service said in a press conference following the arrest. "But after a lengthy stakeout and hundreds of man hours, we got her." [...] https://babylonbee.com/news/we-got-her-british-police-arrest-dangerous-80-year-old-who-spread-butter-using-a-knife
  8. Good question. Discussion after reading the article? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Should We Abolish the Transportation Security Agency? On Thursday, two Republican Senators, Mike Lee (R-UT) and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), revealed a bill that would abolish the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in favor of private security at the nation's airports and other secure venues. 9. 'Dilbert' Creator Scott Adams Suggests Hilarious New Department to Handle Fake Concerns of Democrats The closer comedy is to reality, the funnier it is. So when "Dilbert" creator Scott Adams suggested in jest during a recent episode of his podcast that President Donald Trump should create a new department to handle the ridiculous concerns, complaints, and scaremongering of the Democrat Party, the idea was pretty funny. When Adams suggested a name for the new pretend department, it was downright hilarious. Here's Adams: [...] https://redstate.com/mike_miller/2025/03/28/dilbert-creator-scott-adams-suggests-hilarious-new-department-to-handle-democrats-fake-concerns-n2187226

  11. Thrilling non-GS/ES Friday report, see man: Lunch was 2 ham-&-cheese sandwiches, ingest we man. Started ES-ing an hour before noon and returned at half-past 2, compact itinerary man. Lay down for a siesta that didn't happen because of monsoon thunder, and no zzz we man. Thankfully, monsooning ended when Mini-B. was de-skooled, fortunate man. Din-din was Costco angusburgers, traditional Friday Two Guys din-din man. Ex-Mrs.-T-B. came by to see Mini-B. and observed Two Guys din-din, interloper ex-she man man. Caught up on all her news, garrulous ex-she man man. Mini-B. gaming with amigo instead of movie night, man. Party with the rubias tonight, cavort we man. Might schedule an ES or two for Saturday, unsure we man. And that was/is our thrilling Friday, report we man.
  12. Such a weak answer, sigh man...
  13. I gently disagree with others' opinions here. Wife is in good standing as an "applicant for Adjustment" or "Adjustment applicant." (These are terms told to me by an immigration lawyer when Mrs. T-B. was in this phase.) Carry the most recent copies of whatever correspondence to or from USCIS that you have, and all should be well. CBP will detain someone for as long as it takes to determine who he/she is and the status (this from an agent in answer to my direct question). 15. Thrilling Friday GS/ES report, see man: We attended all, diligent we man. It did not begin monsooning until our final trip casa-ward, good timing man. One ES turned out to be a GS, man. The actual GS was phantom, man. The first and (actual) Many'th (2+2+1th) ESs yielded the take, see man: -- nearly full jug windshield fluid, skinny belt = $Many ($2+1), deal man -- large kitchen tongs, onecan Chef B. ravioli, onecan Starkist tuna = $Many ($2+1), steal man Total = $Many ($2+2+2)
  16. I agree with Dashinka, Edward, Salish, et al. -- the fact that you sent the stuff ahead, unsolicited, explains the situation to my satisfaction (and I still have traumatic flashbacks about my own experiences). As they say, bring it all plus more to the interview, and that will satisfy the protocol. Ask them about this when you're there, and report back. If my current assumption is correct, then what a relief!
  17. Thread applying to general protocol is moved from the K-1 Process forum to the Embassy/Consulate forum.
  18. Thread with answers has been shifted to the main US Citizenship forum, from which an unanswered duplicate thread has been removed.
  19. Zzz, man! Civil Sturgeon, n. - a polite Russian fish, si man.
  20. The participant here perhaps didn't read the entire thread before posting. Heed what jan22 says. The question is: Were all of the above part of the I-129F petition that Cairo got from USCIS, or did you somehow send these materials separately, yourself, directly to Cairo in advance of your interview?
  21. Wonderful to hear! You're obviously making the very best of it. Your mature attitude is commendable, and you'll surely find something fulfilling and productive in due time. Be sure to keep us apprised.
