N-400 Interview at 15 Weeks Pregnant
TBoneTX replied to Nishris's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
Just wait... I've heard that, at the end of the process, it's like passing a watermelon through your nostril. Unless you say, "Hail, Caesar!" and do it that way. -

Your timeline says that you filed the I-130, which is the CR-1 path. Why are you asking about K-1? Please clarify this. -

N-400 Interview at 15 Weeks Pregnant
TBoneTX replied to Nishris's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
Do you expect to be unusually ill or on bed rest at that point? If so, have someone wheelchair you in. If not, go in, point abdomen-ward, and say, "And I brought an incipient U.S. citizen with me." -
*** Country-specific thread is moved from the CR-1 Process forum to the Canada regional forum. ***

You're the new champion -- we ordered only 7. Our Justice of the Peace agreed to let us carry the signed marriage license to the courthouse ourselves. We made a beeline for it and arrived within an hour of closing. The clerk was surprised that we wanted 7 copies, but she gamely made them up for us while we waited. After AOS, banks, souvenirs for the respective parents, et al., we had one left for ourselves. Good thing we didn't light a cigar with one of them as a parlor trick!

Pride Cometh Before the Fall [Cracker Barrel]
TBoneTX replied to TBoneTX's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
Partially caved -- they need some Executive Suite resignations and to rip out their culture of DEI by the roots. And, by most accounts, to improve its food. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The People Have Spoken: Cracker Barrel Caves Cracker Barrel announced on Tuesday evening that it's giving up its rebranding plan—or, at least, doing away with its new generic logo and bringing back its "Old Timer." In a statement posted on X, the restaurant chain said: [...] https://pjmedia.com/sarah-anderson/2025/08/26/the-people-have-spoken-cracker-barrel-caves-n4943061 -
From Peter Navarro -- wow! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John Bolton cashed in and America paid the price I went to prison for defending the Constitutional separation of powers. John Bolton (an occasional contributor to The Hill) may well wind up in prison, too if investigators uncover evidence and prosecutors decide to bring charges over his alleged classified disclosures. When Bolton wrote his book, "The Room Where It Happened" — reportedly receiving a $2 million advance — he wasn't just dishing gossip. He was sharing information about Oval Office conversations and national security that should have stayed secret — either by law or under executive privilege. A federal judge already spelled this out in black and white. In June 2020, Judge Royce Lamberth warned [...] https://thehill.com/opinion/national-security/5468893-john-bolton-cashed-in-and-america-paid-the-price/

More on what Boiler has brought to light. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Farage has thrown down the gauntlet on illegal migration Nigel Farage threw down the gauntlet today on illegal immigration. The Reform UK leader was speaking in an airport hangar in Oxfordshire, in front of a giant Union flag. To his side was a mock airport departures board showing where illegal migrants might soon be sent back to if his party takes power. With the public mood on the small-boats crisis now souring to the point of 'total despair', Farage said the issue of illegal migration can now be boiled down to a simple question. 'Whose side are you on?', he asked, rhetorically, of embattled Labour prime minister Keir Starmer. 'Are you on the side of women and children being safe on our streets? Or are you on the side of outdated international treaties backed up by a series of dubious courts?' I think we all know the answer. Indeed, one of the few policies that the opportunistic Starmer hasn't jettisoned or u-turned on in his first year in office is his commitment to the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and the international human-rights framework more broadly. And it is this that Farage and much of the right have correctly identified as the main barrier to taking back control of Britain's borders, as the public is demanding. This is a thoughtful article. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why Kilmar Abrego Garcia is still important [...] One thing we do know is that the administration's immigration enforcement, focused on illegal border crossers like Abrego Garcia, is having far-reaching effects. Earlier this month, the Department of Homeland Security reported that 1.6 million illegal immigrants had left the country in the seven months since President Donald Trump took office.
