This is the best observation (that I've seen) from anyone who blogged about the Republican debate. "The Fox hosts and the network didn't develop a nuanced set of questions to expose positions on policy, principles, etc., but instead went with the issues of the day, which prevents in-depth debate." I think that most of the candidates got some good shots in, and that the sleeper is Gov. Burgum, who was professional and made a lot of sense. Pence perhaps moralized himself out of the race.
