Watch Tom Homan SCHOOL Reporter Who Complained Deportees Aren't Getting Water on Flights You'd think after Tom Homan humiliated an NBC reporter over deportations in churches and schools they'd stop asking him stupid 'gotcha' questions. But media aren't smart, and the narrative is more important than their dignity, apparently. Which is why Homan SHUT DOWN a reporter trying the bleeding heart sob story line of questioning again: [...] https://twitchy.com/amy-curtis/2025/01/28/tom-homan-puts-reporter-in-her-place-when-she-says-deportees-arent-getting-enough-water-n2407476

Wow! ~~~~~~~~ Trump's Massive Week One Illegal Immigration Crackdown: The Numbers Are In In just his first week back in office, President Trump's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) isn't wasting any time getting to work, and ICE is crazy transparent about its success. Since Trump’s third day in office, ICE and the Department of Homeland Security have been posting daily updates on immigration enforcement, like these: [...] https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2025/01/28/trumps-massive-week-one-illegal-immigration-crackdown-the-numbers-are-in-n4936443

The Babylon Bee might've gotten it right yet again! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We Finally Get Some Answers About the Wild New Jersey Drones Thanks to Trump Dozens, then hundreds, then thousands of mysterious drones—some the size of refrigerators and compact cars—filled the skies over New Jersey and then they were everywhere. They hovered over homes, freaked out local elected officials, and caused mass panic. The Biden Administration offered no answers. We heard they were prompted by Iran from a "mothership" off the coast. We were told they were Chinese spy drones. Were they hobbyists or malefactors, friend or foe? Nobody knew. And then, suddenly, the drones stopped, Christmas came and went, and America turned the page. But when he was running for president, Donald Trump promised to find out what the hell was going on and report back. Trump Appointees & Nominees
TBoneTX replied to Crazy Cat's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
This article might leave us grinning like a tomcat in a creamery. JDV is cool. ~~~~~~~~~~ 'I Don't Care, Margaret': JD Vance's MAGA Mic Drop Moment The clash couldn't have been scripted any better. The occasion was Vice President J.D. Vance's first interview since taking office, a sit-down with Margaret Brennan of CBS News. The anchor pressed him on the White House pause of refugee resettlement operations, reminding Vance of his past support for admitting into the country those who were "properly vetted." The vice president replied that the efficacy of the entire screening process was in doubt, pointing to an Afghan national recently arrested for plotting a terror attack in Oklahoma as an example. The subsequent crescendo launched a thousand memes and highlight reels on the right that one giddy conservative pundit compared to the coverage Michael Jordan got on ESPN during his prime. "It wasn't clear if he was radicalized when he got here," Brennan started to say of the terror suspect who came to the United States after the Afghanistan withdrawal and several rounds of vetting. "I don't really care, Margaret," interrupted Vance. This was the mic drop moment the White House wanted. Saboteurs! ~~~~~~~~~~ Trump Places More Than 50 USAID Officials on Leave The Trump administration has placed more than 50 career civil servants and foreign service officers on administrative leave after receiving information that they may have been conspiring to circumvent Trump's executive orders requiring the halting of federal aid funds to overseas programs and all diversity, equity, and inclusion programs within the agency. Jason Gray, acting agency administrator, placed the individuals in question on paid administrative leave so he can conduct an investigation into the matter, according to an agency-wide email Gray sent Monday afternoon and first obtained by RealClearPolitics. Trump Appointees & Nominees
TBoneTX replied to Crazy Cat's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
This is an incisive, insightful summary of Pres. Trump's specific and general nomination approaches. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ GOP senators shouldn't fall for Pence's subterfuge against RFK, Jr. Harry Truman was a man who was able to put principles ahead of prejudices, for he was an old-fashioned Southern racist and antisemite who integrated the military and recognized the State of Israel. The RINO wing of the Republican party appears incapable of that type of wisdom, for it seems driven less by principles than by its members' hatred for Donald Trump. Nowhere is that more evident than in the Mike Pence wing's opposition to Trump's DNI nominee, Tulsi Gabbard, and his HHS nominee, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. At one level, both of those nominations are simple political payback: Gabbard and Kennedy broke with the Democrats and threw their support behind Trump when he needed it. However, Trump is not engaged in a shallow quid pro quo. Were that the case, he could have given each an ambassadorship sinecure to some cozy, untroubled country. Instead, Trump is doing something Machiavellian and very wise: The reason that Gabbard and Kennedy jumped ship is because the Biden government persecuted them. President Trump Executive Order
TBoneTX replied to KMG's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
This would be magnificent, 100% appropriate, and very long overdue. -
I take respectful yet vehement exception to OldUser's recommendation against the petitioner's showing up at the first interview. (The rest of his advice, as usual, is excellent.) I have never heard of a Stokes interrogation being called for as part of a first interview. It's only when a 221g is issued and fraud is suspected (or, as in my instance and that of my contemporaries, the consulate's Immigrant Visa Unit is appallingly mismanaged) that a second interview is called for, with the petitioner's mandatory attendance. This is when a Stokes would likely occur. There is no drawback when the petitioner is on the consular premises during a first interview. The beneficiary can take the petitioner's U.S. passport to show the consul, saying, "He/she is outside, if you have questions." This lends legitimacy to your bona fide relationship, and it enables the consul to clear up questions with the petitioner then and there, rather than issuing a 221g for desired information and engendering days or weeks of delay before the visa is granted. The above is presented for your consideration.

So much winning, especially against socialist tinpots! A fun article. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Colombian Leaders Embarrassed by President Petro After Backing Down from Trump Threats Colombian political leaders are calling for the impeachment of President Gustavo Petro, citing his recent public feud with President Donald Trump as a source of national embarrassment. Critics argue that Petro's short-lived "trade war" with Trump damaged Colombia's international reputation, particularly in its relations with the United States. The controversy stemmed from Petro refusing deportation flights from the U.S., which resulted in Trump threatening the nation with harsh tariffs. Petro then tried to turn the table on Trump and threaten him with a 50 percent tariff on U.S. goods. As a result, politicians across Colombia are embarrassed by Petro's immediate take-down and have called for his resignation. Daily Update on Biden Tanking America (Part 2)

Merrick Garland is slime. This judge utterly disembowels him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Judge Cannon Body Slams Biden DOJ's Last-Ditch Lawfare Effort A federal court on Tuesday condemned the Department of Justice's efforts to provide members of Congress Volume II of the Special Counsel report while criminal prosecutions related to the report remained ongoing. While the country has moved on from the issue following Donald Trump's inauguration, last week's order crystalizes the Biden Administration's outrageous weaponization of the DOJ against not just Trump but those associated with him. Two weeks before Trump's inauguration, the DOJ [...] https://thefederalist.com/2025/01/27/judge-cannon-body-slams-biden-dojs-last-ditch-lawfare-effort/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=judge-cannon-body-slams-biden-dojs-last-ditch-lawfare-effort -
Welcome to the forum! You ask good questions and have obviously read and studied here, which is great. Good idea, and you're right about the restrictions for a long time after U.S. entry. It's the petitioner who would quit? I wouldn't recommend this; it's best to show some current income regardless of cosponsorship. Others here might have differing opinions. Yes. (1) Perhaps, and (2) correct. If you want to travel together shortly after filing the I-129F petition, there will typically be all kinds of time, because approval typically takes many months. However, sometimes petitions are pulled from their position and are processed earlier than usual, so you would want to be flexibly alert to this possibility. Whether you travel before the approved petition reaches the consulate or you travel between the visa's issuance and expiration, maybe shorten the vacation. And, for heaven's sake, do NOT leave less than 3 days' validity on the issued visa before U.S. entry! Flights can be delayed because of weather, mechanical reasons, civil strife, and more. Remember, too, that the visa will be valid for 6 months from the date of the medical examination, not from the interview itself, so commit the expiration date to memory, and plan accordingly.

K1 VISA Meeting in person once
TBoneTX replied to vlavnder's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Multiple visits in person are good not only to ease the consul's mind, but to strengthen your relationship. "Face time" is crucial to both aspects. Where there's a will, there's a way, so banish the excuses and visit there or here. -
Fortunately, we are a superior primate and don't fall for such, si and no LS ma'am. --- Unless anyone has further advice or evil ideas, we will not respond further to the IC until she write us again, si or no man.

VAWA, Part 27
TBoneTX replied to TBoneTX's topic in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
It is still Sunday in a couple of time zones, so -- just in time -- here is our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke: =========================================== A PIG WITH NIGHTMARES A pig went to a doctor and said, "Doctor, I’ve been having these terrible nightmares and I can't sleep. Can you prescribe me some sleeping pills?" Doctor: "Can you describe your nightmares to me?" Pig: "They are all almost the same. First, a man lures me with food, kills me, and cuts me into pieces. Then, he rubs salt all over my flesh!" Doctor: "I wouldn't worry about it; it sounds like you're going to be cured soon."
