  2. 1d They will know based on the physical address of the parents.
  3. *** Thread moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** Not on the I-129f but when you fill out the DS-160, there is a question “has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf” and you’ll have to mark Yes. Depends on what consulate it is and if you have good evidence of a genuine relationship (a lot of visits/in person time).
  4. Hijack post removed. Please start your own thread to ask questions. VJ Moderation

  6. *** Thread moved to Philippines regional forum ***
  7. That or suing the government under the Writ of Mandamus. And yes, as @OldUser said her status as a permanent resident doesn’t expire, just the proof of status is expiring.
  8. Most likely you’ll be taken to secondary inspection to have the documents processed. It took about 5-10 min for me and then I was out.
  9. I don’t see why you would wait for a lawyer to do that.. just follow the instructions and reschedule the interview.
  10. Legal alien allowed to work. I don’t think it matters where you apply. They will mail the card though so I would make sure you have access to the mail.
  11. I see what you’re saying regarding Question 1. Theoretically, K1 visa expiration shouldn’t prevent you from applying for SSN IF you’re still within 75 days of the 90 days. However, getting a competent SSA employee who is familiar with immigration matters might be a challenge. In that case, I would try a different SSA office.
  12. I had to wait until my GC to change the name on SSN card. EAD also works but I got my GC quicker.
  13. How would marrying via Utah Zoom guarantee that he would come back and/or petition you?
  14. Another thread merged. Do not start new threads when you have an existing thread already. This constitutes spamming per the TOS and can lead to admin action against your account. Post here only regarding wait times. VJ Moderation
  15. *** Thread moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** There is no deadline, per se. However, after 90 days you are subject to deportation so I would aim to file asap to avoid that risk. If you marry after 90 days, the US citizen will also have to file I-130.
  16. *** Thread moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** I would just put mom and sister, I don’t think it’s such an important field to worry about too much.

  19. 1. No, I-130 and I-485 have separate timelines. An approved I-130 isn’t an indication that I-485 will be processed faster. Emailing isn’t going to help your case process faster. Then everyone would be emailing and calling to do that but that’s just not the case. 2. No 3. No 4. Biometrics, RFE can come at any point in the process, interview, approval. Sometimes interviews are waived, sometimes not. 5. The processing times for I-485 is determined by the Local field office (LFO) and not by the service center. So you need to look up the processing time for your LFO.
  20. Three threads on the topic of police certificates merged. Starting several threads per related topic is not allowed as that constitutes spamming and is a TOS violation. Please confine all further questions regarding police certificates in this thread only. VJ Moderation
  21. Zombie thread closed. OP hasn’t logged in over 4 years. Please start a fresh thread if you have questions. VJ Moderation
