My interview was on the 26th and I was approved.
Now my husband got a little too excited and bought me tickets to fly to Romania to say goodbye(and get my luggages),stay there about 12ish hrs and tickets from Bucharest to Mobile.
Checked on ceac and as of yesterday it's refused, everyone is telling me it's not denied just in ap but I'm pretty sure I won't have my passport back on time.
Anyway I'm hoping everyone's journey goes smoothly from now on

I haven't seen many people DIY a waiver.  I know it needs to be well structured.   Good luck.

I am not sure I’ve seen such a blatant case of malpractice in immigration law ever.

Please report that lawyer to AILA and the state bar. As well as provide a 1 star review on Google maps and Yelp.

Hey we did spoke with a lawyer from Texas and he advised the ir1 is the correct visa path for us.
Regardless at this point we're the only ones to blame for not reading more about the other circumstances.
We both appreciate the kind words and we will report back with the next steps...

Well did you tag the post I linked with a thank you back in 2020.  If you took the advice to hire a lawyer and the lawyer told you that you didn’t need a waiver then shame on that lawyer.

You even said in that thread you needed a waiver.

If you didn’t consult with a lawyer then I don’t understand how you expected a different outcome.

I am sorry you two are going through this heart ache.

Got a inadmissible note for overstaying a few years back. Guess we will file for the waiver

Hopefully it is the visa.  Personally, I don't always trust what is communicated in the CEAC system.

Oh I feel so bad for you, I think we’ve all been in that position at one point in our journey when we just wanted someone else to deal with it instead.
I will give you the same advice as the rest of the people, get rid of your lawyer. I’m a very anxious person that second guessing myself every step of the way but we did our paperwork our self’s just digging on this forum and google.

As long as you learned how to make mamaliga, and can appreciate palinca , you are on the right path. Your prep and doc is very good and there are some guides/charts on this site for the USCIS/NVC/Bucuresti Consulate paper journey.

So you need to schedule your medical appointment. You will need things to take to it so best to read it from the source. Read all the green colored topics.  Note it says on the “what to bring” page you need an appointment letter from the embassy. That’s a bit dated since interviews started being booked online. Bring your notification from NVC that contains your LND number or if you happen to get a letter from the embassy (don’t hold your breath) with the LND case number.
    Clinic website
    http://www.visamedicals.co.uk/us-bring.htm

You are a bit of a hybrid mix so there aren’t any clearly laid out instructions on this page
    https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/how-to-apply-2/
You’re not DCF that went through USCIS in London. Similar, but you’ve already turned in DS-260 and your documents, while DCF haven’t. You did process at NVC, but you didn’t get assigned an interview, so you can’t register your appointment, you have to select an appointment. Theoretically if your case made it to London, the booking site should let you in. If it doesn’t, try the next day. Sometimes it’s just too early and it will say your number is invalid. It isn’t invalid. Try next day and next.

    Try this step:
Schedule your visa interview through the Visa Appointment Service website at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv and follow these instructions:
Select “I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to schedule an immigrant visa appointment”; (Note: even if you haven’t gotten the letter pick that) Follow the onscreen instructions to register an account; A separate account is needed for each separate case number. If your family members are applying under your case number, you may “add” applicants to your account after you have added your own details. You will be asked to select your delivery method for the return of your passport if your visa application is successful. Delivery to a courier depot is free. If you wish to upgrade to home/office delivery you can pay an additional fee through your account; You will be offered the first available interview date, but you may choose any available date; Please go to “Print Instructions” in order to print your courier confirmation page. You must bring this with you on the day of the visa interview
Things to know based on experiences—
You don’t have to be finished with you medical appointment before you pick your interview date. Do leave at least a week between medical and interview if you want the results at the embassy on your interview date. That is not absolutely necessary either, but it allows you to be approved at the interview instead of them having to wait on your medical and get back around to your visa.

You don’t have to have a letter from the embassy.  Not needed for anything. You don’t show it anywhere except maybe the medical appointment, but if you have your LND  number in writing sent by NVC correspondence, then you’re good to go at the clinic without an embassy letter.

I had my medical in London yesterday, and I also needed a tetanus booster and proof of flu jab, as I already had it via Boots but had no paperwork. I asked if they'd do the tetanus there and they refused, saying that their nurse was down with covid and so nobody was on site to give the shot... Instead they gave me a letter to get 'signed and stamped' for both the flu jab and tetanus and an email address to send it back to.

So I went straight to the Boots on Oxford Street and booked the tetanus for the same day for £35, and the pharmacist was extremely understanding and helpful in signing off the letter Visa Medicals had given me. I then had to catch my train back and go to my local Boots and talk to the Pharmacist there who'd given me the flu jab at the weekend and have him do the same thing. Luckily both were really helpful and went out of their way to sign and stamp the letter, which I then scanned and emailed back to Visa Medicals this morning.

I had a response within the hour saying they'd received it and would have their nurse check and sign it off, or contact me directly if they needed anything else, before sending everything on to the Embassy.

Other than that everything went swimmingly, I just hope it doesn't cause any issues down the line. I've read that it's common they have K-1s have their shots elsewhere but not IR-1s so I found it a bit alarming, but I suppose they didn't have any choice.

Anyway if anyone has an appointment with them in the next couple of days keep in mind you might have to do something similar if they don't have the relevant personnel on site.
