  1. The only time I brought it up during the interview was when he asked me when or where we lived together, and I told him about 3 years in the states and 3.5 in uk. And yes on ds260 it was stated both my entries and the length of them. At this point it is what it is and we will focus on the waiver and what me and my husband can do for our marriage in the meantime
  2. Spoke with the lawyer and he said he send several waivers before the pandemic started at the beginning of 2019 and they are just now getting word back. He said it could take 3 years more or less
  3. Hey everyone I was looking on here about the waiver but couldn’t find anything more recent so I’ll open this topic. 13/09/2022 we decided on a lawyer after we spoke with 4 different ones. Gave him access to nvc and send off the letter of inadmissibly , currently waiting for the gp to give us a copy of our records. Anyone going through feel free to post
  4. That’s what I am worried about now since we will have to be guided by a lawyer through the waiver. I’m all for doing it ourselves while my husband is 100% pro a lawyer
  5. Hey we did spoke with a lawyer from Texas and he advised the ir1 is the correct visa path for us. Regardless at this point we're the only ones to blame for not reading more about the other circumstances. We both appreciate the kind words and we will report back with the next steps...
  6. Hey I've told the co during the interview that I lived with my husband for a number of years in USA while on a turist visa before we moved to UK . To be completely honest this is just poor research on our part,we were under the impression that by doing the ir1 there will be no need for a waiver
  7. It was 5 years ago and i overstayed by over one financial year so it’s a 10 year ban. spoke w my husband just now and he wants to call a lawyer to see if we can do the waiver and him to return to uk to live with me while we’re waiting because it’s very expensive to pay 2 rents and 2 of everything plus the burden of not being together
  8. Hey yes the co has my passport but I've got a email w the tracking number saying my passport is being returned tomorrow...we shall see tomorrow if there's a letter attached or just the visa
  9. Hey the visa is for me. during my interview he didn’t asked for more paperwork although I had a whole file just in case, nor did he handed me anything. He just said he will approve my visa and to wait for my passport to be returned to me. I dont have double citizenship although I did lived in uk for a few years with my us husband and I gave them the background checks from both romania and uk ty for your response
  10. On 26th of August I had my interview in London and the gentleman approved me(verbally), he didn’t have me any letter and said to wait for my passport to be returned. on the 2nd of September I’ve checked on ceac and went from ready to refused, same happened today on the 6th. I’ve emailed them last week and today this was the response: ” Thank you for your email. Embassy records show the Immigrant Visa Unit returned your passport with a refusal letter on September 2, 2022.” I am so confused and heartbroken since I’ve started saying my goodbyes being sure I’ll be going home to my husband here shortly. Any advise?
  11. My interview was on the 26th and I was approved. Now my husband got a little too excited and bought me tickets to fly to Romania to say goodbye(and get my luggages),stay there about 12ish hrs and tickets from Bucharest to Mobile. Checked on ceac and as of yesterday it's refused, everyone is telling me it's not denied just in ap but I'm pretty sure I won't have my passport back on time. Anyway I'm hoping everyone's journey goes smoothly from now on
  12. Each case is different but I’ve got dq and a rfe for the same reason, during the interview I had my husband’s paycheques for the last 3 months and his letter of employment, they didn’t ask for anything and said I’m approved. Now waiting for my passport back
  13. Oh I feel so bad for you, I think we’ve all been in that position at one point in our journey when we just wanted someone else to deal with it instead. I will give you the same advice as the rest of the people, get rid of your lawyer. I’m a very anxious person that second guessing myself every step of the way but we did our paperwork our self’s just digging on this forum and google.
  14. I’m awake since yesterday from 6 am, I left a review on the embassy of what happened . Guys I’m ready to get some much needed sleep now that I’m not stressing over it
  15. I’m still in London shaking still, but got approved 🥰😭
  16. Lol ty well hopefully ms won’t raise too many questions 😂 It took about 3ish weeks
  17. Anyone else has their interview this week? Have mine Friday and the wait is giving me major anxiety
  18. I’m getting anxious so might as well say a few words here Had my medical appointment in London on the 12, ended up getting 2 vaccines there and another one at a travel clinic(just a pharmacy) . my interview is in London Friday(3 more days) and I couldn’t sleep last night due to the anxiety. Couple of girlfriends are coming w me in London, we decided to make a girls trip out of it . I’ve printed out so much paperwork, made sure I have the originals, legalised copies and translations to the point where my file it’s 6lbs and I think I have to rearrange it yet again. definitely overthinking it but hopefully time will go by quickly. hope everyone else is doing good .
  19. I had something similar, it worked after a few days from when I got the email,if it doesn't work in about a week, email them and they should fix it
  20. Damn dq in April and have your interview in August? That seems harsh, where is your interview going to be at?
  21. Same here DQ saying he doesn't meet the income. He does but because he worked abroad in the last couple years when he filled taxes in us he put 0. We uploaded pay stubs and offer of employment from his current job in USA. Did anyone that's been through this actually been to the interview? What did the consulate said?
