You can inform the consulate about this and ask what you should do.

I think you are about to run afoul of the one year contact rule.
I would contact NVC also. CEAC is tied more to NVC than the embassy.
When was your last contact with NVC?

I think a call or an inquiry via AskNVC is what you will need to clear this up.

I would recommend both because responses from NVC to AskNVC is over a month delayed. It will still give you documented proof of contact once the inquiry is submitted.

    Hi.
The US Immigration visited our apartment in Houston, Tx, at 6 a.m. weeks after we got my wife's Green card. A guy she dated before we met was an unhappy camper, and a policeman, and had been leaving messages on our answering machine threatening to report us to immigration for having a fraudulent marriage... i.e. just for the GC.
The "officer" came in, was courteous, and only asked us a few questions, like how many bedrooms in the apartment.
We told her about the harassnent and she left without any more questions.

Hi! Praying for that. We are so relieved that we are at the tail end of this!

Unfortunately he can’t get his medical exam redone until November 5th which puts us at turning in his passport to the collection facility December 18th or so.

Is it normal for them to ask him to wait six weeks following the medical exam to turn in his passport to the collection facility?

I entered 1 day after my 2 year wedding anniversary to ensure we wouldn't have to do ROC and would be issued a 10yr GC.  The update happened behind the scenes.  My visa in my passport said CR-1, my GC is IR-1.  If it's incorrect (as it was on Kid2's GC), you can file an I-90 and have it corrected.

Not quite.  The visa type that will be placed in the passport will depend on the length of marriage at the time of visa issuance, not interview.  But regardless of the visa type in the passport, the immigrant's permanent resident status will depend on the length of marriage at the time of US entry.  So even if the visa in the passport is CR1, if the immigrant enters the US after 2 years of marriage, they will still be admitted as IR1 and will get a 10-year green card.

It’s Nigeria…. Are home visits common? No, but they do happen. It’s impossible to say if you will get a visitor but don’t exclude the idea because it is apart of the process. As crazy as it may sound, they messaged me on Facebook Messenger…. Asking me the same questions…. How did you meet? How many times have you visited? How long did you stay? Two days later, the case was approved.

That is not correct.  It is from date of marriage to entry date into the US. for CR-1/IR-1.

IR1 versus CR1 is from the time of marriage to your interview date, not when you enter the US

My husband had an interview January 11th 2021. No one came to visit him. We were not put on administrative process rhough I thought we might be
I  am much older than my husband but we had all our documents in order, he was approved and got here January 22 -2021. Sorry you are going through all this.  Best of luck! There must have been something they thought was out of the ordinary. Can't imagine why they would go to such lengths.

I personally know two people who have had home visits by USCIS investigators. One was here in Oregon where the Chinese beneficiary was already living in the USA, the other, was in Brazil.  In both cases, they were very simple and short visits, and in both cases the investigator wanted to look in the closet of the person to verify they actually had suitable clothing and sere in fact living there.

Yeah it just takes 1 couple to ruin it for everyone else. So if your marriage is really legit you've got nothing to worry about. If it's fraud then better watch out as people can go to jail. This goes mainly for k-1 CR-1. Some small cases with IR-1. Even though marriage was 10 years it can be all a set up. Scams and schemes are getting worse these days.

Wow! That’s interesting! The officers didn’t ask for his phone but they definitely throughly went through all Of his drawers, closets and other rooms. It has also been 9 months for us on AP at this point. They have yet to call him as promised by the consulates inspectors that came by. We are hoping for an approval soon. Fingers crossed!! 🤞🏾

Im glad it worked out in your favor and tour in-laws got some awesome new furniture!

He has a bachelors degree in physics already. He works very hard and is always trying to improve himself already. So I’m sure once he is here and we get settled he most certainly will.

Omg….. we honestly had no idea that this happened. That is so infuriating and sad. Definitely not part of any scheme. Just in love and would like to start our family soon.
