Legal proceedings meaning "file a motion?"  I can spend $100 and file a motion to ask that last night's drubbing of Notre Dame  by Michigan and let the judge laugh.

"Sidney Powell, Flynn’s attorney, filed a 37-page motion on Thursday, outlining several big allegations, once again requesting the government produce all evidence as it relates to Flynn — urging the court to “dismiss the entire prosecution for outrageous government misconduct” and hold the prosecutors in contempt."

Or it could be that posting those photos intended for his eyes only broke the trust in the relationship (as she stated) because the sharing was not consented to.  There is a good reason he has the EX status.

I appreciate you parsing the words for me. The President has not engaged in extramarital affairs, bragged about doing any he wants to women, stand accused of 25 sexual assaults, cheated on his taxes, declared bankruptcy 3x leaving untold working contractors hanging, paid hush money to silence one or more of his affairs,. hired illegal aliens, BECAUSE, that was Donald Trump and he did not actually do those things as President.

I don’t care about Trump’s relationship’s either provided they are legal and everyone consents. On the other hand, if the congresswoman is suspected to be guilty of sexual harassment or quid quo pro, I would certainly want her investigated.

Their motivation was an easy payday? Wasn't he a billionaire and a public figure we'll before his Presidential run?

One of those hearsays is winding through the court now.

As a reminder YOU asked about holding Trump to the same standards. If you have examined the evidence of all 25 allegations and feel convinced they are all lying the n make that claim.  Otherwise just acknowledge that Donald Trump is getting a bye from all of his fans.

25 women have come forward alleging sexual assault and yet his base stands behind him. So no, he is not held to the same standards as the rest of us.  If this president falls, he will not be brought down by his zipper.

It sounds like the congresswomen came to DC as a "throuple" with her husband and the staffer but then took up with with a new "non primary" male partner ( maybe a staffer?) creating a "double vee" and said "primary" husband was out of there because they had not "opened" their marriage. Oh and nude pictures of including marijuana consumption made their way to the internet.

I cannot blame folks to being confused and worried. The hodgepodge of poorly thought out proclamations is crazy making.

My dad's a lawyer, so what I know about the law is really from what I've picked up over the years from speaking with him over the dinner table. But what I know is that as long as a lawyer has a good faith belief that what's in the motion is true and there isn't an improper reason (like harassment) for filing the motion, the lawyer can't get in trouble. All you need is good faith -- it doesn't have to be true. Also, and this is the one my dad always said, if you don't ask, you don't get. So if you think you have any chance at getting something, you should ask for it! If his lawyer thinks she can shake this information out, she should try. This lawyer seems like a true believer in all sorts of conspiracy theories so I bet she's acting in good faith, even if it's nuts!

All I was trying to say was that it's sort of meaningless whether one side puts something in a motion. You can put anything in a motion. And legal proceedings are only continuing because Flynn hasn't been sentenced. He's guilty, by his own admission. It's sort of silly to think that this is anything more than an attempt to get a good deal for her client, but honestly it's going to backfire. The judge is going to shoot this down pretty fast. But this isn't a pleading meant for a judge, really, it's meant to get certain parts of the media and certain parts of the country riled up about conspiracy theories.

I think the Tea Party faction of the Republican party has taken this country on a far more radical path than any left lean to the Democratic party .  Four freshman congresswomen without a committee chair to their name are not driving the Democratic party, although I do agree society as a whole is increasingly young, secular, urban and not white. That is basic demographics.

Yup. Seems @Riadhora was confused since this thread IS relevant to their IR-1/CR-1 case: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=328757 Assuming their "lawyer" knew their case was IR-1/CR-1, I'd question that "lawyer's" competence.

That was the DHS public charge rule: https://www.uscis.gov/news/fact-sheets/public-charge-fact-sheet This thread is about the president's proclamation which is set to become effective on November 3rd: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/presidential-proclamation-suspension-entry-immigrants-will-financially-burden-united-states-healthcare-system/

90DayFinancier reacted to Penguin_ie in This site is for support and advice, not judgement
Emotions are running high right now for many members of this site due to uneven processing times, and I wanted to address that, and how it regrettably leads to not-ideal behaviour from some. I am sure we all want this site to be the welcoming and helpful place that it was meant to be, a place where you can get advice, and also support during stressful times; a place where lucky ones get congratulated, and those having a more difficult or longer visa journey can let off steam. So, a fact first: getting your case processed fast or slow is often nothing to do with the couple; it is the luck of the draw as to which service center you get, and they go in cycle- the center that may be fast this year will be slow the next.

However, recently there has been some "them versus us", which I am very sad to see. We are all here to uplift one another, not tear eachother down for being lucky with a service center. Throughout the years, posters have exulted in these milestones by saying "I'm blessed!" "God/Jesus/Allah has approved my petition/granted my visa!" and similar. It takes nothing away from anyone else that they react in this way, and it doesn't change anyone else's situation. Quick processing at one service center is not a personal affront. It's out of anyone's control. On the other hand, it is also natural to want to complain and gripe about being unlucky for getting a service center that is currently slow, and missing one's loved one. This unhappiness does not take anything away from the people who are lucky/ blessed and got a quick approval, and the members who have slow processing have a right to be sad about that. It takes nothing away from anyone else that they react in this way, and it doesn't change anyone else's situation.
We are all in this together, regardless of the circumstances. It would be a shame if a continuation of divisive posting behavior spiraled into Terms of Service penalties. Please, take a moment to put yourself in another member's shoes before replying to a thread, and be respectful of eachother's feelings. If things were just a little different, you might be the lucky/ unlucky one.
